Prayer For Pta Meeting

Lord God, as we make decisions that might affect the students, staff, faculty, alumni and friends of the school. And continue to remind us that all that we do here today, all that we accomplish, is for the pursuit of truth for the greater glory of You, and for the service of humanity. We ask these things in your name, Amen.

Heavenly Father, we come to you today asking for your guidance, wisdom, and support as we begin this meeting. Help us to engage in meaningful discussion; allow us to grow closer as a group and nurture the bonds of community. Fill us with your grace. Amen

Faithful Father, we thank you for hearing our prayers, feeding us with your word, and encouraging us as we have gathered together. Take our lives and use us to love and serve you, and all people, in the power of your Spirit and in the name of your Son. We are created by your power, redeemed by your love and strengthened by your Spirit. We give ourselves into your service, may we love you and love others with all our hearts. Through Jesus Christ, our Lord, Amen.

Almighty God, you graciously hear all our prayers and you promise that when two or three agree together in your name you will grant their requests. Fulfill our desires and prayers, and make all things work together for our good. Increase our knowledge of your truth, and our experience of your love. You are able to keep us from stumbling and to present us blameless before the presence of your glory with great joy. To you, our God, be glory, majesty, dominion, and authority, before all time and now and forever. Through Jesus Christ, our Lord, Amen.

Lord,

Look lovingly on this group gathered here.

During this meeting, as we discuss and deliberate on issues of importance to this school, help us to be guided by you Spirit.

May we be wise in our discernment, balanced in our judgment, fair in our decision and visionary in our planning.

Though we may, at times, have differing views, may we listen to one another and be guided by our common goals.

May we always be mindful in our words and actions of what is best for all children in our school.

We ask this through Christ our Lord,

Amen

God our Father,

You have called us together once again to do work that will further Your kingdom on earth.

Let our efforts be for Your glory, for the support of parents and friends whom we represent,
and for the advancement of the mission of our schools.

We ask this through Christ our Lord,

Amen

O God, bless and unite all your people and guide us on this meeting.
Give us the grace to see your face in one another and to recognise Jesus, our companion on the road.
Give us the courage to tell our stories and to speak boldly of your truth.
Give us ears to listen humbly to each other and a discerning heart to hear what you are saying.
Through Jesus Christ our Lord, bread for the journey from age to age.

Amen.

Dear Heavenly Father,

We thank and praise you for the gift of Your Son to save us from our sin. We thank you for the gift of our Lutheran schools and for dedicated, passionate teachers who lead our students to you. As we get into conference season, grant us patience and understanding. Lead our hearts and give us wisdom and the proper words as we work to find what is best for these children. Strengthen our relationship that, in all things, we give all glory and honor to You. In Jesus name we pray, Amen.
