Prayer For Our Teachers
Dear God,
We pray for fresh hope today. Please fill these teachers with the love and light that only you can bring; and allow those gifts to flow freely through their lives in their classrooms and schools. Give your wisdom to embrace encouragement along the way and to give it away to others. Instill in us all, teachers and parents, a heart of learning this year, because we're never too old to learn new things. Bring the freshness of your perspective to see life through the eyes of a child. Fill every educator with the constant reminder that they are deeply loved and valued by you. Help them to love and treasure every child, even the most difficult ones, by the power of your Spirit. Thank you that lives are being changed day by day, and you constantly fill us with your mercy and grace every morning.
In Jesus' Name,
Amen.
Dear God,
We pray for your blessing and favor today over our teachers, our kids, and our schools. Please allow your face to shine on them today, be gracious to them Lord. Fill them with your Spirit and light; and give them peace in every circumstance. We know that every gift and blessing come straight from your hand. We will not take it for granted. Remind us today of your great love and care over all those we love. We thank you Lord that you work powerfully on our behalf, and we commit our ways to you. May each purpose and plan you have for our teachers, succeed, flourish, and prosper in every way.
In Jesus' Name,
Amen.
Help me to be a fine teacher, to keep peace in the classroom, peace between my students and myself, to be kind and gentle to each and every one of my students. Help me to be merciful to my students, to balance mercy and discipline in the right measure for each student, to give genuine praise as much as possible, to give constructive criticism in a manner that is palatable to my students. Help me to remain conscientious enough to keep my lessons always interesting, to recognize what motivates each of my students, to accept my students' limitations and not hold it against them. Help me not to judge my students too harshly, to be fair to all, to be a good role model, but most of all Lord help me to show your love to all of my students.
Amen.
Dear God,
Grant our teachers an abundance of Your wisdom. Prepare their hearts to welcome and love our loved ones, and may we make sure to show them love and respect in return. Give them grace as they help students who aren't thriving, courage to say what needs to be said, tools and knowledge on how and when to speak love, and strength when they feel weak. When they feel unseen, remind them that no moment goes unnoticed. They are shaping the future in one million small - yet incredibly important - ways every day. We are overwhelmed with gratitude for the gift of learning they share with our children. Bless them, Lord, and may they see even just a glimpse of how their faithfulness will forever impact generations to come.
Amen.
Father, we declare that our teachers' love is abounding yet more and more and extending to itsfullest development in knowledge and all keen insight. Their love is displaying itself in greaterdepth of acquaintance and more comprehensive discernment, so that they are surely learning tosense what is VITAL, and approving and prizing what is EXCELLENT and of REAL VALUE, recognizing the HIGHEST and the BEST, and distinguishing the moral differences. Therefore, they are untainted, pure, unerring and blameless, with hearts that are sincere, certain andunsullied. They are approaching the day of Christ, not stumbling nor causing others to stumble. They are abounding in and being filled with the fruits of righteousness. Your glory is being bothmanifested and recognized in them. Amen
Father, we declare that our teachers are Your own handiwork (Your workmanship, recreated in Christ Jesus,) that they may DO those good works which You PREDESTINED and PLANNED BEFOREHAND for them, taking paths which You prepared ahead of time that THEY SHOULDWALK IN THEM, living the good life which You prearranged and made ready for them (Ephesians 2:10).
Father, we declare that our teachers' gifts are making room for them and are bringing them beforegreat men. (Proverbs 18:16).Father, we declare that our teachers study and are eager to do their utmost to present themselves toYou approved (tested by trial), workmen who have no cause to be ashamed, correctly analyzingand accurately dividingrightly handling and skillfully teachingthe Word of Truth. (IITimothy 2:15).
Lord, we know that teaching can be a thankless task. Help us to be aware of the needs of those who have the responsibility for educating others. May we as a community be supportive and caring, offering a listening ear and practical concern whenever we can; through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.
