Prayer For Our Youth

Form us by Your Holy Spirit
into credible guides for our young people,
like Mary Magdalene, witness and missionary of the Resurrection,
to be IN MISSION:
joyfully proclaiming Christ
who died and rose again.
Nourish us and our young people
through Your Word and Eucharist,
so we may always choose to be life-giving,
especially to the least, lost and last.
Together with our young people,
may we follow the example of our Mother Mary,
whose YES to You, O God,
gave way to the fulfillment of Your Divine will.
We make AMEN

God our Father,
we come together as Church, the Body of Christ,
and through Your Holy Spirit,
we pray for our young people
in this Year of the Youth.
In Your great mercy, You sent Jesus, Your Son,
who grew up as a young man among the youth,
became an example for the youth,
and consecrated the youth to You. Amen

Loving Father, Raise up young men and women with a heart for Jesus and a desire to share the gospel with those that are lost in their sins, so that many may be brought to saving faith in the Lord Jesus. Develop in these young people, the heart of an evangelist and the opportunity to share the good news of the gospel of grace to those that are lost and in need of a Saviour. In Jesus' name I pray,
Amen.

Give them grace and wisdom as they face the challenges of life, and keep them humble in heart and teachable in spirit. May they learn to look to Jesus day by day knowing that without Him they can do nothing but in His strength He will lead and guide in all things. In Jesus' name,

Amen.

We offer to you, Loving God, the gifts and needs of youth. Bless them with your guiding grace as they face the challenges and opportunities in their lives. Touch their hearts with the gentleness of your love, that they may know they are valued and valuable beings. Send your spirit of hope to their lives, that they may believe in themselves and know they are needed in this world. Grace them with the gift of joy that they may celebrate life through laughter and tears alike. Guide us, as we continue to grow in appreciation of the many gifts of young people, in the ministry opportunities we offer to them, in the journey of faith we walk with them, in our shared mission as a community called to discipleship in the world. We ask this in Jesus' name. Amen.

Dear Lord,
help our young people to find
faith in the midst of the chaos.
Give them the desire and ability
to see you,
hear you,
talk to you,
and give thanks to you.
We pray that they will draw nearer and nearer to you
all their lives.
Amen.

Father, we declare that our youth brace up their minds. They are sober, circumspect andmorally alert. They have set their hope wholly and unchangeably on YOUR GRACE, and they live as children of OBEDIENCE. As You are holy Who has called them, they are also holy in ALL their conduct and manner of living. (I Peter 1:13-15).

Thank You, Father, that You are making our youth to increase, excel and overflow in love for one another and for ALL people, so that You may strengthen, confirm and establish their hearts faultlessly pure and unblamable in holiness in Your sight. (I Thessalonians 3:12-13).Father, we declare that our youth are no longer live TO and FOR THEMSELVES, but TO and FORYOU, Who died and was raised again for their sakes. (II Corinthians 5:15).Father, we declare that our youth roll their works upon You. They commit and trust themwholly to You. YOU ARE CAUSING THEIR THOUGHTS TO BECOME AGREEABLE TOYOUR WILL. Therefore, their plans are being established and succeeding. (Proverbs 16:3).Father, we declare that EVERY PURPOSE or UNDERTAKING that is of HUMAN origin in our youth lives is failing, being overthrown and coming to nothing, and EVERY PURPOSE or UNDERTAKING that is of YOU is not able to be stopped, overthrown or destroyed. (Acts6:38-39).
