Prayer For New Beginning
Forget about what's happened; don't keep going over old history. Be alert, be present. I'm about to do something brand-new. It's bursting out! Don't you see it? There it is! I'm making a road through the desert, rivers in the badlands. (Isaiah 43:18-19)
Lord, I place today in Your hands and trust You to direct my day until I place my head back onto my pillow of sleep. I ask that whether in busyness or in quietude, Your will be done. Whether I am surrounded by crowds of people or remain in the solitude of my own company, I ask that You would be there to direct and govern. I pray that the words of my mouth and the meditations of my inner being, would be pleasing and acceptable to You throughout today, and may Your will be done in my life to Your honour and glory. In Jesus' name I pray,
Amen.
Thank You, Lord, for bringing me safely through another night and into the beginning this new day that You have made. Lord, I have no clue what today will bring, but I pray that this may be a day when you are lifted up in my life, a day when I walk in spirit and truth. Prepare me Lord, for all the eventualities that may happen. Help me to stand fast and to be salt and light to all those with whom I come in contact
Father, I thank you for the March winds and April showers that bring May flowers. Father, You know what is necessary to prepare me for what You have in store for my life. Help me to receive what You have for me. Prepare me as You prepare the seeds. Grow me strong, nourish and protect me with Your truth so that I can break through the dirt, sprouting into a healthy flower that radiates Your glory in the earth.
Lord, I thank you for calling me, for wooing me and drawing me nearer to you in the Secret Place. It is in the Secret Place that you awaken me. You bring me into a new day of destiny as you call me to a higher place. Lead me into my purpose and destiny. Lord, you are always there, always encouraging me, always speaking life over me, always speaking your truth over me. Teach me about who I am created to be, Father. Draw me closely into your heart, that I may know your will for my life.
Gracious God,
Thank you for the gift of today.
Refresh me. Invite me to discover your presence
In each person that I meet
And every event that I encounter.
Teach me when to speak and when to listen
When to ponder and when to share.
In moments of challenge and decision
Attune my heart to the whisperings of your Wisdom.
As I undertake ordinary and unnoticed tasks,
Gift me with simple joy.
When my day goes well, may I rejoice.
When it grows difficult, surprise me with
New possibilities.
When life is overwhelming, call me to
Sabbath moments
To restore your Peace and Harmony.
May my living today reveal your Goodness.
I pray just for today, for these twenty-four hours,
for the ability to cooperate with others according to the way Jesus taught us to live.
"Your kingdom come, your will be done on earth as it is in heaven."
May these words that he taught us become more than words.
Please free my thinking and feelings and the thinking and feelings of others,
from all forms of self-will, self-centeredness, dishonesty, and deception.
Along with my brothers and sisters,
I need this freedom to make my choices today according to your desires.
Send your Spirit to inspire me in time of doubt and indecision so that, together, we can walk along your path.
Dear Father, I pray that as new parents, You will teach patience and endurance. Lord I ask that they shall not become angry when things appear to not be right. Help them not to lose patience, but rather to show their new born child Your agape Love. Lord we pray that they (parents) will honour this great responsibility of parenting. Bless them with wisdom to parent well in Jesus Name, Amen.
