Prayer For Protection From Evil Spirits
Oh, Lamb of God, who took away the sins of the world, heal me from my distress. You say You will not let me be tempted beyond what I can bear. I am having so much trouble resisting my urges. I need Your divine intervention to cast the spirit of addiction down to the lowest part of hell. I am suffering and am weak. Make my flesh and mind strong so that I can overcome my desire to use drugs/alcohol and stay sober. I cannot do this on my own. In Jesus' name. Amen.
Lord God, my Shield, You are the one who cast out the angels who disobeyed You from heaven. Banish every spirit who follows Abaddon, a destroying demon, from my life. Help me become closer to You, be disciplined in reading Your word, and walk this earth by faith and in Your image. Fill me with Your Holy Spirit and mold me as You desire. In Jesus' holy name. Amen.
My Righteous Savior, You say the love of money is a root of all sorts of evil. Help me to focus my life on becoming closer to You and being an example of You to others. Do not let me be deceived into believing that happiness will come from wealth. I know that joy comes from You. Let me be taken up in the Holy Spirit which gives life. I pray I would be a life-giver. Crucify all forms of greed in my life to the cross. In Jesus' name. Amen.
The King of Kings, and Lord of Lords, I bow before You and worship You. Purge from me any temptation to be unfaithful in my marriage. Draw me near to You and my spouse. Guide my actions so that I do not put myself in a situation where I am tempted. Help me to foster physical intimacy often with my spouse so that we meet each other's physical needs. Place the fear of You, oh God, in my heart as Joseph had. When the spirit of adultery came, he ran away and let the Lord fight his battles. God, I run and hide behind You. In Jesus' name. Amen.
God of Heaven's Armies, I repent of all my sins. Thank You for putting my sins on Your innocent, holy Son. I owe You my life and everything in it. You have the keys of death and of Hades. You have the ultimate authority over the spirit of death. Continue to protect me and deliver me from my fear of death. Grow my hope in You for victory in eternity. In Jesus' name. Amen.
Jesus, my Savior, thank You for the forgiveness of sin. Jesus, I have more of a craving for food instead of a craving for the Word of God, and for this, I repent. Jesus, annihilate every spirit of gluttony in my life. Protect me from eating when I am no longer hungry and abusing my body with an excess of food. Show me how to fill the void and emptiness that I feel with Your love, instead of with food. Let my heart and flesh cry out to You instead of crying for the things of this world. In Jesus' name. Amen.
Precious Holy Spirit, thank You, for Your Word gives life. Let the wisdom from Your Word protect me from the spirit of debauchery, which roams the earth like a lion waiting to devour Your people. Precious Holy Spirit, I have had enough drunkenness and wild parties in my life. Help me to stop doing what belongs to the darkness and instead be like You. Take away from me the desire to party and get drunk. Make my cup overflow with Your love. In Jesus' name. Amen.
King Jesus, I worship You. You alone are worthy of worship. Reign inside of my heart and protect me from every spirit of delusion. Declare Your holy truth over my spirit, soul, and body. Protect me, oh Jesus, from believing lies and being deceived. Keep me close to You always, forever confessing Jesus as the resurrected Son of God. In Jesus' name, Amen.
