Prayer For Pastor
I pray for pastors to be faithful. I pray for pastors to live in faithful covenant to their families, both their spiritual family and their immediate family, and to always distinguish their covenant responsibilities between these two. I pray for pastors to be faithful to our calling, always discerning and following your missional initiatives, and to be continually engaged in dialogue with you.

Gracious and Loving God,
I pray for all men and women from every walk of faith who are called into this peculiar and rewarding vocation of encouraging and equipping others for their journey.
I pray for pastors to be encouraged. Although this work brings much joy, this work can also be highly discouraging. I pray for those pastors who are right now living through the dark night of the soul, some experiencing darkness because of the challenges of their congregation, others experiencing darkness because of emotional depression, and still others experiencing darkness because of physical or spiritual fatigue. I especially pray for those pastors who are discerning whether to go to a new place of service, and for those pastors who have confirmed the call to stay where they are to seize the opportunities and tackle the challenges. I pray for the energy of pastors to be revitalized so that pastors can dream dreams and have visions, and do their work with the right spirit. In Jesus Name. Amen
O God, allow _____ to enter Your rest (Hebrews 4, Mt. 11:28). Put Your yoke on my pastor. When my pastor is heavily laden or burdened, may he/she find comfort and peace in You, refreshed and renewed by Your power in every aspect of his/her life. Amen
Lord, make my pastor strong and filled with courage for every task (Joshua 1). let my pastor lead us to inherit our city for You. Thank You for being with _____. Amen
Almighty and ever-living Father, before whose face the generations rise and fall, we give you thanks and praise for all the blessings of this day, and for all the ways, in season and out of season, that you provide for us.
We thank you for bestowing the necessary graces upon him for carrying out the work to which you called him. Through trials and temptations your eternal presence strengthened and comforted him. In the dry seasons you provided him with living waters to restore his soul. Your unseen hand supported him with the courage needed for the struggles to make real the love of Jesus Christ by word and deed. In the face of disappointments you surprised him again and again with unexpected joy.

We pray for our pastor that he may dwell under the rainbow of your promises. Lord, may he always find shelter in your word and stillness in your waters of peace. May his heart soar with faith on wings like eagles, may he run and not be weary, may he walk and not feel faint.
Thank you that your mighty hand of protection is upon him now. Come bless him abundantly with your love and kindness.

FATHER, WE THANK YOU THAT YOU HAVE OPENED DOORS OF UTTERANCE FOR HIM TO PROCLAIM BOLDLY THE GOSPEL WITH SIGNS FOLLOWING. HE IS TEACHING BELIEVERS HOW TO LIVE INDEPENDENT OF THIS WORLD SYSTEM AND HAVE DOMINION OVER IT. HE HAS CLARITY OF VISION, UNIMPEDED BY UNGODLY SOURCES OR INPUT. HE IS ALWAYS IN THE RIGHT PLACE AT THE RIGHT TIME WITH THE RIGHT INFORMATION AND THE RIGHT UNDERSTANDING. ALL HIDDEN THINGS OF DARKNESS ARE REVEALED TO HIM AND ARE MADE MANIFEST BY THE LIGHT. THE ANOINTING OF INCREASE IS UPON HIS LIFE AND WHATSOEVER HE DOES PROSPERS.
WE THANK YOU THAT HIS FAMILY IS OF ONE HEART AND IN ONE ACCORD, AND ARE ENJOYING THE DAYS OF HEAVEN UPON THE EARTH. HIS SEED IS MIGHTY UPON THE EARTH AND BLESSED, AND WEALTH AND RICHES ARE IN HIS HOUSE. HE FELLOWSHIPS WITH LEADERS OF LIKE PRECIOUS FAITH AND HAS SET A NEW STANDARD OF EXCELLENCE FOR THE BODY OF CHRIST. IN JESUS' NAME, AMEN.

We thank you for this wonderful man of God,
Come and bless him as he leads us in worship today.
Anoint his words with authority and grace that he might reveal more of your truth, love and legacy to all who hear.
