Prayer For Opening A Meeting
As we gather here in the harbour of your safety
We thank you for fellowship and family.
We ask that you will strengthen us, restore us and inspire us with your love.
Lord, would fill us with your peace
So that as we journey onwards
We would pour out your love and grace to others.
We ask that our souls would catch the wind of your spirit
so that we would take your promises to all the earth.
Amen.
May these next few hours be a time of grace to identify and resolve problems. To say aloud those things that others need to hear and to refrain from words and actions that distract. To think creatively, to develop ideas that will empower our co-workers to grow in your spirit Finally, Lord, strengthen us and help us remember and that we serve together in your name and by your call. We trust Your Spirit to lead us. Amen.
God of Charity and Grace, it's hard to set aside
other concerns for a few hours, but with You as our
companion and guide, we dedicate this meeting to Your
honor and glory.
Lord, we ask that we would not engage in vain repetitions or fleshly pleadings but become so in tune with Your heart that we are both enabled and empowered by Your Holy Spirit, to discover those issues into which You would have us pray about. Lead and guide us we pray, so that we are equipped to plead Your will and to partner with Your eternal purposes and plans through our prayers.
Keep our hearts focused on You and may our praying be guided by Your Spirit so that we truly touch the throne of grace, not because of who we are, but because we approached You humbly and with clean hearts, seeking only to lift Your name and glorify Your person, so that You increase and we decrease, for You alone are worthy. In Jesus' name we pray,

Dear Father, We thank you for everyone gathered here now. Thank you that you know each of us by name and have caused us to walk with You. We say that we are dependant on You and our trust is in You completely. As we surrender ourselves in adoration we ask that You would come by Your Holy Spirit and inspire our hearts today. Come fill our lives with Your love, Fill our conversations with Your grace and truth, Fill this meeting with Your presence. We ask this for Your glory and praise. Amen.

thought and speech. Impart Your supreme wisdom upon our
activities so that our affairs may reach a successful conclusion.
Thank You for being our source of guidance today.
Loving heavenly Father, We come to you this hour asking for your blessing and help as we are gathered together. We pray for guidance in the matters at hand and ask that you would clearly show us how to conduct our work with a spirit of joy and enthusiasm. Give us the desire to find ways to excel in our work.
