Prayer For My Wife To Love Me
You are Jesus Christ, the one by whose stripes we were healed. Thank you for your ever true promises of healing to my wife. As she looks unto you for the healing of her heart disease, may you never cut her expectations off. Answer her, Lord, to the glory of your mighty name. Amen.
Lord Jesus, You have said, Learn from me, for I am meek and humble of heart. With confidence in Your loving heart which offers rest to weary souls, we come to You in this time of special need. In Your unfailing love, read the prayer that is written on our hearts, and grant the grace that we ask of You, in accordance with Your holy will. In Your name we pray. Amen.
God,
You are in the restoration business; restoring me by giving me Your Spirit. You have made me into a new creation in Christ (2 Cor 5:17) and I am pleading with You to help me restore this marital relationship with my beloved spouse. How often have I done things out of pure selfish ambition and gain? I cannot count the times where I was only looking out for my own interests and not that of my spouse. Please forgive me for my selfishness and help our relationship be restored to the way it previously was. I need Your help in doing this because I don't always know the right thing to say or do and I lack Your wisdom in acting out of a sincere and genuine heart that is motivated only by serving my spouse and loving them in the way that You love me. What more can I do to help in restoring this relationship to where You would have it be? Help me to think, act, and speak in ways that would reflect Your own love and for this I pray in the precious name of the Great Son of God, Jesus Christ, Amen.
Please extend to me Your mercy and grace and allow me to treat my spouse in the way that You love me unconditionally and not treat them the way that I often do. I need Your help in doing these things and again, bless my spouse and I thank You for my spouse and for Your forgiveness, love, and grace and in the precious name of the Savior, Jesus Christ I pray, Amen.
You know us both as individuals and as a couple. You are journeying with us in our marriage. Guide us through this season of difficulty into the warmth of summer. Guide our lives to find new adventures to share together. Remind us both of our first love for each other. Remind me to be the first to forgive, The first to love and the first to act. That she may again fall in love with me. Amen.
Dear Lord, Show me how to be a better husband. Sometimes I feel that I have lost the love of my wife. We are so often stressed and tired by daily life. We struggle to find the energy to care for each other. Help us to find the excitement and chemistry of our love again. Help us to connect afresh and communicate better. Inspire my heart to be the first to initiate. Inspire my thoughts to surprise her with attention.
Lord teach us to treat one another with dignity, love, and respect. I asked for the grace and emotional strength to avoid the use of anger and unforgiveness as a weapon to fight against my spouse.I pray that we will no longer allow our emotions to be manipulated and used to drive a wedge between us, in Jesus name. Amen.
My wife has a new heart (Eze 36:26-27) that is clean, filled with clean thoughts and right desires (Ps 51:10). You desire her to have a teachable heart (Ps 95:7-8). Help her to guard her heart with all diligence, for it is the wellspring of life (Pro 4:23). Empower Your goodness in her heart to overflow to others continually and in increasing measure (Luke 6:45).
