Prayer For My Work
Loving Father,
May I be your hands and feet today,
Bringing comfort, healing and care.
May I speak with your love,
Bringing hope, understanding and kindness.
May I carry your peace in my heart,
Bringing clarity, reassurance and calmness.
May each moment be filled with heavenly truth.
With you I am stronger, kinder and wiser.
Come lead me through each moment
And watch over my working day.
Amen.
As the sun rises may your love rise in my heart.
A love that dispels tiredness.
A love that overcomes difficulty.
A love that builds relationship.
A love that inspires diligence.
A love that delivers excellence.
A love that develops trust.
A love that produces praise.
Lord, may I live in the light of your love.
Amen.
Father, I want to be a good provider for my family and yet I am unable to get a job to secure sufficient for the bare necessities of life. I am crying out to You for Your help and grace in this situation.
Forgive me if I have sought to do things in my own strength, but Father I come to You in my helplessness, and pray that in You pity and mercy, You would provide me with the job that I need so badly.
I put my trust in You alone for You alone can help me. I pray that in Your merciful kindness, You would provide the job I so desperately need. To You be all the praise and the glory. In Jesus' name,

Jesus, Promise-Keeper, you chose us that we may bear fruit. You also said that without you, we could do nothing. Help me to be fruitful at my place of work. Let everything that I lay my hands on prosper. Jesus, give me an excellent spirit that I may do exceptional work for the glory of your holy name. May I follow the path that you have laid up for me so that I can find victory in your holy name. Let your love rain in my heart and this place. In Your almighty name, I believe and pray. Amen.
Almighty God, whose hands hold all matters of life, give me grace of success in the work that I do. Help me to give it the careful thought and the strict attention that will lead to success.
Watch over me and govern my actions, that I may not mar its perfection.
Show me how to give my best, and let me not despise the toil that is necessary to complete it. Make my life a successful one, in that every duty you give to me, I do it well.
Give me the blessing of your help and guidance, and suffer me not to fail.

Father, thank you for all the ways you've blessed me, specifically with this job that pays my bills and puts food on my table. Thank you that ALL work has significance because work is good. Help me bring you glory today, through my actions, my words, through the good work I do to bring order to my little corner of the world. Help me view my work as a blessing and not a curse. Give me grace and strength for the hardest aspects of my job. In Jesus' Name I pray, Amen.
Dear God,
You know my needs. You know my desire for a job, for work I enjoy doing, for the next step in my career to present itself. I pray that you would guide me as I continue on this job hunting journey. May I focus first on your will for my life, putting your desires and your plan above my own wishes and wants. Open doors to new opportunities that you desire for me, and equip me with the skills, knowledge, and wisdom I need to take steps forward in this process. As I craft my resume, write cover letters, submit my applications, connect with new companies and potential employers, and go on interviews, give me the words to speak and the courage to share who I am and what I can do. Give me confidence that can only come from you, and give me humility too. I trust you, Lord-- my life is in your hands. Your will be done. Thank you for being near to me every step of the way and thank you for always providing for my every need. May this all be for your glory.

Hear the prayers of your people who ask for work
that will enhance their human dignity
and promote the upbuilding of your kingdom.
Enable them to provide for those confided to their care
either by family ties or by charity we owe to one another
for the betterment of human life.
We ask this blessing in the name of Jesus
who laboured with his own hands while he lived on earth.
