Prayer For My Workplace
Lord, I long to pray boldly and dependently and desire that prayer would be the evident and controlling force in my work and my place of worship (Col. 4: 2)
You would provide good work for those of us who are unemployed (1 Thess. 4:11-12)
You would establish and prosper the work of my hands (Deut. 30:9; Ps. 90:17)
Lord, I long to know and live Your Word and ask that I would find wisdom from Your Word so that I can live Your truth in my workplace (2 Tim. 3:16-17)
I would experience rest in my labor knowing that You, Lord, are at work in, through, and for me (Ps. 127:2)
I would find my calling and pursue it with passion (Eph. 2:10)
my work would adorn Your doctrine in every respect (Titus 2:10)
as employer or employee, I would treat others righteously and fairly (Col. 4:1)
I would turn from pride, arrogance, self-righteousness, greed, and materialism in order to pursue humility, righteousness, and service to my fellow man at work (Micah 6:8)
Thank you for my job.
Fill the office with Your presence, inspiration, and positive energy this week.
Help me remember to cast my burdens onto you. Remind me that I need to only be still when I'm overwhelmed with stress.
Help me be efficient, productive, and excellent. Give me the wisdom to overcome difficulties and find solutions.
I pray that my coworkers and I work as a team and bring out the best in each other.
Lead me through every moment and watch over me every working day.
Amen.
My Heavenly father, as I enter this workplace I bring your presence with me. I speak your peace, your grace, your mercy, and your perfect order in this office. I acknowledge your power over all that will be spoken, thought, decided, and done within these walls.
Lord, allow this to be an opportunity of learning and growth and not one of embarrassment and shame. Help me to spot the places that need improvement and the best way to make those changes. Help me to be more aware of what I am doing and to take notice of when something could be done better. Let the criticism that I received be used for my betterment and allow me to use it as a push towards better performance.
Father, as we gather together we thank you for your endless goodness to us. Thank you for all the skills and talents that you have given us and for everyone that is part of this wonderful team. We pray that you would give us great wisdom and insight as we discuss our work plans and make decisions about the future. We open our hearts to you now and invite your Holy Spirit to be present amongst us.
Thank you, Lord.
Amen.
O Jehovah, my God, as I set out for work today, help me to be light at the office and a source of inspiration to our clients and my colleagues. Put the right words in my mouth that will build others up and give them hope. Lord, help me to be a source of blessing to those people that are going through difficult times. Fill my place of work with peace and remove anything that may bring strife. Be our shield and guide in everything that we do. In Jesus' name, I believe and pray, Amen.
Dear Heavenly Father,
As I enter my workplace today, I invite you to join me so that everyone here will sense your presence. I give you this day and ask you to work through me by the power of the Holy Spirit.
May I convey your peace, just as I am aware of your comforting proximity at all times. Fill me with your grace, mercy, ?and power to serve you and others in this place.
Lord Jesus, I want you to be glorified in my life and in this place of business. I pray you will be Lord over everything that is said and done here.
God, I thank you for the numerous blessings and gifts you have given me. May I bring honor to your name and spread joy to others.
Holy Spirit, help me to depend on you wholly today. Renew my strength. Fill me with physical and spiritual energy so that I will be the best employee I can be. Give me eyes of faith to see from a heavenly perspective
as I do my job.
Lord, guide me with your wisdom. Help me to work through every challenge and conflict. Let me be a beacon for you and a blessing to my coworkers.
My prayer is to be a living witness of the gospel of Jesus Christ.
In the name of Jesus,
Amen.
