Prayer For My Teenager
LORD, SHOW ME THE PATH I MUST WALK. SHOW ME WHAT GOOD WORKS I CAN DO TO SERVE YOU. I NEED YOUR GUIDANCE, AND ALTHOUGH SOMETIMES I FEEL RAGE, LORD, TRANSFORM MY ANGER INTO LOVE, AND USE ME AS AN INSTRUMENT OF YOUR PURPOSE.
We love you and praise you on this day and every day, Lord. Thank you for the gift of life. Help us to protect and preserve it in every way we can. May your will be done on earth as it is in heaven. In your holy and mighty name, Amen.
Jesus, you made a way for us where there seemed to be no way. We pray today that you would breathe new life into us. We pray you would increase our empathy, compassion, and love for our neighbors, no matter their age, race, ability, background, or need. We pray we would be people whose hearts echo your own heart for your peoplebe our strength, Holy Spirit.
Dear God, Tonight I lay down to sleep and ask that you would hold the fears, worries and disappointments that I feel. Take my life and help me to sort through these many thoughts. Help me to sift through all these feelings, And to keep only the ones which are good and true. Now as I sleep Lord, I ask that you would walk with me in my dreams, comfort my soul and renew my spirit. Tonight I lay down to sleep, Not alone, but with your love to watch over me throughout the night. Amen.
Father, Sometimes I feel bewildered by the world. I don't understand how there can be such richness beside such poverty. Help me to be generous and thoughtful of others. I feel upset when I hear others cruel words or see hatred or prejudice. Help me to be loving and accepting of all I meet. Sometimes a feel down about the pressure on young people to succeed. Lord, in this confusing world Help me to look to you And stay hopeful and happy. Amen.
Father,
We pray for good and godly friendships for the teens in our lives. Godly friendships are important in these formative years, so we pray that You would lead good friends together for these young people. Just as David and Jonathan formed a friendship like a brotherhood rooted in You, so we pray that for our teens. Friendships and community circles will impact a person, the people they hang around will influence their own choices, ideals, and personalities. We pray for friendships that are destined of You, in order that together they could come to see more of You and more of the beauty they can pour out to others.
In Jesus' name, amen.
You may feel alone and lost, but remember God is always there for you. I pray for God to give you the strength you need.
Darling, as you lay to sleep, I pray that no weapon curse against you shall prosper. May you conquer and your dreams come true.
