Prayer For Graduating High School Seniors

Heavenly Father, give my son peace as he steps into the beginnings of something different and new. Help him with each challenge he may encounter, give him the wisdom to solve it and allow him to overcome any conflict that may come his way. Encourage him daily to have faith in himself, his teachings, and his abilities. Through all of this though Lord, most importantly, keep him close to You. Make sure his values stay guarded, and his faith becomes stronger. In Your name, I pray. Amen.

Come, Holy Spirit.
Be with me today in my studies.
Improve my work habits.
Help me to learn to relax when taking exams so that I am able to test to my potential.
When I apply to colleges, allow me the chance to show the real me to those who make decisions.

Come, Holy Spirit.
Allow me to appreciate my friends.
Give me a moment to see their goodness.
Help me to be always faithful to these dear people I have grown up with since childhood.
Always give me the opportunity to stay close to my friends,
whether we are physically near or far apart.

Come, Holy Spirit.
Continue to inspire my teachers, counselors, and coaches who have inspired me.
In these last days of high school, give me the courage to truly follow their lessons.
Allow me the inspiration to thank them for their gifts with sincere appreciation.

Come, Holy Spirit.
Bless my parents and family.
They are everything to me.
They have modeled for me your life and love.
Keep them healthy and happy for many more years.

Come, Holy Spirit.
Help me find my way to my loving Father through his Son.
Share with me a sign of my calling.
Give me good ears to listen to your voice.
Give me the strength to follow your lead.
Amen.

Dear Heavenly Father, We come to you with thankful hearts for all those near and dear to us who are graduating from high school. We thank you for giving each graduate the talents, abilities and self discipline required for this wonderful accomplishment. We are grateful to You for providing the teachers, mentors, coaches and youth counselors who have taught them, nurtured them and challenged them along the way.

Now that their minds have been well equipped with the basic knowledge of many different subjects, we pray that their hearts and spirits will also be well equipped for successful living. Add heavenly wisdom and discernment to their knowledge. Infuse their ambitions and dreams with Your love. Help them to desire Your good way for their future. Remind them that you are only a prayer away when they meet obstacles, heartbreaks and challenges. May they always be courageous enough to ask for help, advice and support when they need it. May they never needlessly suffer alone without reaching out to You and to others who care.

As they become independent adults, help them learn the secret of dependence on You. Give them a desire to know more about You. May they find you in the Scriptures, in the joy of new love, in the gathering of Your people, in the beauty of Your creation and in the strength of their youth.

And now may Your blessings be theirs as they begin a new life full of joy and promise. Amen.

Lord God, help us seniors remember the lessons we have learned in quarantine. We are never promised anything, and now we know to always be grateful for the people and opportunities in our lives. I pray that we will see the gift of living in today and to choose joy in everything, as we encourage others to do the same. I pray that You will help us not feel jealous of future generations who get a graduation and a prom but, instead, to be happy for them. I pray these things in Jesus name, amen.

God, graduating seniors around the world had their last day of school and didn't even know it was their last. Today, we ask You to comfort them during this hard time and wrap Your loving arms around them. Fill them with the peace to accept their present circumstances, and the strength and determination to persevere for a brighter future. Lead them through this trying time, and show us how You can still use it for good. Thank You for your goodness and unfailing love, even in the midst of heartbreak.

Almighty God,

Thank you for your love, risen from the grave and freely offered for us all.
Thank you for this special day, and for all the students who are assembled here.
May they feel a sense of achievement in their qualification and great excitement about their future.

Come take their skills and gifts that we celebrate today.
May each student know your presence in their lives and understand how to use their abilities for your glory and kingdom.
And may they all continue to live lives of learning and discovery, and in doing so bring great blessings to the world.

Amen.

Dear Heavenly Father, I ask that You bless my child as she takes on the challenge of a new beginning. Take her on wonderful journeys, show her new ideas, and help her to explore new adventures. Encourage her as she grows, and continue to remain steady in her life. Keep her feet firm on Your foundations and remind her daily that You have blessed her with plans for the future and hope for tomorrow. In Your name, I pray. Amen.
