Prayer For Fire
Heavenly Father, I pray for the firefighters and paramedics of our nation. Thank You for their courage, dedication, and commitment in serving all of the United States. I thank You for their bravery and willingness to sacrifice their own well-being and many times risk their own lives in the service of others. I pray for their protection. Keep them safe from harm and injury. Give them Your wisdom and guidance when faced with crucial decisions. Encourage and strengthen them mentally, physically, emotionally, and spiritually. Help them to overcome the stress and hardships that accompany their occupation. May Your blessings be upon their hones and families. Give their families peace, comfort, courage and strength to cope with the sacrifices that are required.
I pray people everywhere would take time to pray for and personally give a word of encouragement and support to the rescue workers of their community. God, bless the rescue workers of America. Amen.
Almighty God, protector of all, Your strength, power, and wisdom are a beacon of light to all: Give special guidance to firefighters so that they may be protected from harm while performing their duty. Help them with Your loving care while they work to save the lives and property of all people, young and old. Give them the courage, the alertness to protect our neighbors and all others whom they are pledged to aid when involved in fire or accident. Amen.
Almighty and eternal God,

Fire is so very necessary for our existence,
and yet, when it gets out of control,
it can be more damaging than anything else.
Keep our homes and buildings
and woods and fields safe from this scourge.
Help us always to be most careful in our use of it.
Help us especially in the winter time
when we need and use it most.
For then, if our homes are destroyed by fire,
we suffer more than ever.
Give us, too, we humbly pray You,
a saving fear of the fires of passion,
and the help of Your grace to control them.
Help us also to fear the fires of hell,
that we may always keep away from serious sin,
and live lives of goodness and virtue,
through Christ our Lord.

O Gracious God Who created the earth and all that is in it, Thou didst give us so many blessings;

We ask Thee now to save Thy people from nature's fury, from storm and flood and raging fire.
Save those whose homes and families are in the path of the wild fires that are consuming the land.
And watch over the lives of the firemen who with courage fight fires out of control.
Comfort the families who have labored hard for their homes, and keep everyone safe with your blessings.
We have sinned against the earth Thou didst fashion, O Lord.
We have not been the good stewards Thou didst commission us to be.
Yet have mercy on us for Thou art a merciful God.
Do not allow the forces of nature to carry out a sentence upon us, even though we are deserving of it. Save us, O Lord, from the destructive power of fires.
Again give courage to the firemen who fight fires, who clean up and help others to rebuild after disasters strike.
Give strength to all survivors and peace to those whose lives are lost because of natural disasters.
Send down gentle rain to quench the flames of fires that are rapidly moving towards homes and cities.
Steady the sun to radiate its drying warmth overt the flooded lands in our nation. And let the flowers bloom unruffled by strong winds across the plains.
As Thou didst send to Noah of old, send also to us a rainbow of hope.
Nature may rage but Thou, O Lord, we know art a Loving God Who ever hold in Thy hand all Thou hast created.
Unto Thee do we give thanks for all things
Grant us the humility to repent of our negligence in tending Thy creation and give us henceforth the will to serve Thee more faithfully.
All the days of our lives may we remember to honor and worship Thee as the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit.
Amen.
O God, you are indeed a very present help in times of trouble. Remind us of the many
different ways you enter into our lives during a disaster: in the unseen repair of faulty power
line; in the embrace of a friend when fear becomes overwhelming; in the ash-covered face of an
exhausted firefighter; in the simple meal offered with a compassionate smile. All of these are
signs of your kingdom and your presence. All of these are ways we can be and see your hands
and voice in the world, through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.

O blessed St. Catherine of Siena, protectress against fire, I come before you seeking your intercession for anyone threatened by fire.
Pray that God protect (name person), his/her family and property from burning flames and that He keep fire of any kind from doing them harm.
Pray, dear St. Catherine, that all hearts are enflamed with the fire of divine love, as yours was, and that all souls are protected from the fires of Hell. Amen.
