Prayer For Fear Of Flying
Steadfast God, You know I'm fearful about being made to fly. And yet I praise You, for in Your power, I eagerly expect that I will have sufficient courage. I pray that as I take adequate measures to stay safe, at the same time, I will be confident that You are with me. I thank You for shielding and protecting and sustaining me. I pray that I will not only be fearless but will enjoy the flight. Amen.
Lord of help, I pray for my fellow passengers today. Many of us are nervous about flying and about getting sick from another passenger. Help us to all be careful and use appropriate measures to prevent the transmission of disease. Help us to also be calm and peaceful and keep anxiety away. Help us all to do our best in this situation. I put my trust in You and ask that You cover us with peace. Amen.
Compassionate God, I step on this plane knowing that You are my source of all things. Fill me with Your peace now and calm my fears of flying. Help me to relax on this flight, and to meditate on Your amazing care for those who reverence You. I look to You and Your strength. I seek Your face always and rest in You. May Your mighty hand of protection cover me on this flight. Amen.
Father,
Thank you for your promise of protection. I claim it today as I travel. I know you fly with me. I thank you for your angelic protection over my life. I will heed your command to not be afraid, for You are with me. You never sleep or miss an opportunity to save me. Nothing ever catches you off guard. I take hold of your hand today, and with you by my side, I board this flight in peace and security. In fact, I will enjoy the flight, take delight in the take off, wonder at the amazing technology that allows such endeavors, and thank You for a safe, smooth landing.

God of deliverance, I seek Your protection from viruses or other illnesses that the crew or my fellow passengers might have. As I wait for the boarding announcement, I pray that the cleaners will effectively disinfect the surfaces. I pray for adequate social distancing between the passengers and limited interaction with the flight crew. In the mighty name of Jesus, I come against all sickness and claim excellent health for myself and everyone on the plane. Amen.

God of the seas and lands and skies
Today I am soaring in the air to my destination
Excited for my adventures at the end of this flight
But
As you well know, I have a fear of flying.
Bumps along the way concern me.
Are we ok? I ponder this in my mind-
And sometimes I ask the flight attendant.
What is that noise? Is that normal?
We are so high up!
I wish I had more control
Oh, the turbulence will come if I fly often
And just like life, none of us can avoid it.
Roll with it, I say to myself,
But the nerves in my gut are screaming with fear.
God who soars with me,
Give me the courage to keep flying.
May my anxiety rest as the sky's potholes keep the aircraft hopping.
May I learn to release control to you and he universe,
And may my adventures upon landing be ones where I see your presence.

Please Father instill in me the faith to turn my fear of flying over to You. Help me believe that You will protect me and when it is my time to leave this earth, that I will have faith that it is Your will.
I am weary of flying and need Your help to turn my fear over to You. You are a loving God and I shall not fear. In the name of God the Father I ask this of You.
