Prayer For Doctors And Nurses
Sanctify, O Lord, those whom you have called to the study and practice of the arts of healing, and to the prevention of disease and pain. Strengthen them by your life-giving Spirit, that by their ministries the health of the community may be promoted and your creation glorified; through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.
Great God in heaven, I pray for my friend/family member who is in the hospital with a serious condition. Give them comfort and strength to endure what they are experiencing right now and to help the family deal with the stresses of being removed from home, their insurance paperwork and acceptance, their employers that they'd be understanding of the missing employee, or anything else that I can't think of that would help them all endure in this time of crisis for their friend/loved one. Please help the doctors and nurses know exactly what to do in each specific area and to find the proper diagnosis so that they can specifically treat the problem. If this means the laboratory staff, the radiologist, or any of the other staff associated with the care of my friend/family member, I ask for that in the Glorious Name of Jesus Christ, amen.
Righteous God in Heaven, thank You for blessing my friend/family member who is in the hospital with such a good staff and even though it seems we often have to wait, at least here we have better facilities and staff than most of the world does. Please forgive me for so often taking these things for granted. I ask you to bless the staff, the work of their hands, the people who do so much for so many. I would ask to have these blessings be especially poured out on the doctors and the nurses so that they can perform to the best of their abilities for the benefit of my friend/family member and for others. So many depend on them and I know I take them for granted so bless them and I thank You for them and in Jesus' most holy Name, Amen.
Oh Holy, Mighty, Majesty, my Father, You Who are the Great Physician. If it is Your will, please intervene speedily to help my friend/family member be healed or speed their recovery. The chief goal of my pray is not for my will but to magnify and glorify Your Great Son's Name, Jesus Christ, because it is through this Great Name that I am praying through. You are sovereign over all sickness, illness, and disease. These are nothing to You and so if it be Your express will Father, please help them supernaturally to the glory of Your Son's Name. Please guide the doctor's hands, bless the nurses work, and give them steady and skilled hands to do what needs to be done and for the glory of and in the Name of Jesus Christ I pray, amen.
O merciful Father, who have wonderfully fashioned man in your own image, and have made his body to be a temple of the Holy Spirit, sanctify, we pray you, our doctors and nurses and all those whom you have called to study and practice the arts of healing the sick and the prevention of disease and pain. Strengthen them in body and soul, and bless their work, that they may give comfort to those for whose salvation your Son became Man, lived on this earth, healed the sick, and suffered and died on the Cross. Amen.
Dear God, please bless in a special way my doctors, my nurses, and all the other persons who are
caring for my and my needs in so many different ways. Please help them to know deep inside how
grateful I am for all their expertise and gentle care. Please help increase their knowledge and skills in
helping all patients. Please help them increase their faith in You and Your willingness to help them
when they turn to You in Prayer. Bless them, O God. Amen.

Great and Merciful Father, full of compassion, You have made each one of us in the image of God (Gen 1:27) and I pray that You would help all of the staff in preserving the lives for which they are entrusted with. Help them in the duties that they are responsible for and so I pray that you bless the technicians, the nursing staff, lab workers, those in radiology, the insurance handlers, the doctors, and all of the medical staff that will be involved in each person's care. Bless them as they all work together for one common purpose and that is to care for each patient under their watch. This I ask in the beloved name of the Savior and Lord, Jesus Christ, amen.
