Prayer For Unborn Children
For orphaned children throughout the world,
and especially those
who are abused or neglected,
that we might work to save them;
We pray to the Lord
For children who are unwanted by their parents,
that God's grace might send others to love
and care for them;
We pray to the Lord
For the children of our country,
especially those who are forgotten or neglected,
that their presence might remind us
of the infinite value of human life;
We pray to the Lord
For every little child:
That we might accept and preserve each one
as a sign of the infinite love of God for us;
We pray to the Lord
For all unborn children:
that our love for them may keep them safe
until the joyous day of their birth;
We pray to the Lord
That the Lord,
who rescues the life of the poor
from the power of the wicked,
might send an angel to guard and protect
all unborn children;
We pray to the Lord
For every little child
and especially for those who
live in their mother's womb,
that they might grow
in the image and likeness of
the God who made them;
We pray to the Lord
For the littlest child in her mother's womb,
that in her life we may see the infinite love of God;
We pray to the Lord
That through the intercession of Saint Vincent,
who spilled his blood for the defense of the Gospel,
the lives of unborn children may be spared;
We pray to the Lord
For all children who have died from abortion,
that God might cradle them in his arms
and grant them eternal peace with him;
We pray to the Lord
For every child who lives in the womb,
that God might send an angel to guard and protect
the innocent and defenseless;
We pray to the Lord
For all unborn children,
and especially for the babies of unmarried mothers,
that God might send an angel to protect them:
We pray to the Lord
For the children who have died from abortion in our nation,
and for their mothers and fathers,
for mercy, peace and the loving embrace of Christ:
We pray to the Lord
For little children,
who await the birth of a brother or sister:
that they may learn to cherish
the child in her mother's womb;
We pray to the Lord
God, you see my baby in my womb. You know her every detail, every muscle, every bone, every bit of her beautiful body, mind, heart, and soul. No matter how she is formed, she is beautiful and she is beloved by you. Grant me peace throughout this pregnancy, that I would surrender every worry or fear to you. May I take heart, knowing you have overcome the world and made a way for us to be near to you in heaven someday and on earth here now. No matter what comes, be near, Jesus. Bring comfort and peace, bring blessed assurance. In your name, Amen.

Almighty God, our Father,
you who have given us life
and intended us to have it forever,
grant us your blessings.
Enlighten our minds to an awareness
and to a renewed conviction
that all human life is sacred
because it is created
in your image and likeness.
Help us to teach by word
and the example of our lives
that life occupies the first place,
that human life is precious
because it is the gift of God
whose love is infinite.
Give us the strength to defend human life
against every influence
or action that threatens or weakens it,
as well as the strength
to make every life more human
in all its aspects.
Give us the grace...
When the sacredness of life
before birth is attacked,
to stand up and proclaim
that no one ever has the authority
to destroy unborn life.
When a child is described as a burden
or is looked upon only as a means
to satisfy an emotional need,
to stand up
and insist that every child is a unique
and unrepeatable gift of God,
a gift of God
with a right to a loving
and united family.
When the institution of marriage
is abandoned to human selfishness
or reduced to a temporary conditional arrangement
that can easily be terminated,
to stand up and affirm
the indissolubility of the marriage bond.
When the value of the family is threatened
because of social and economic pressure,
to stand up and reaffirm
that the family is necessary
not only for the private good of every person,
but also for the common good of every society,
nation and state.
When freedom is used to dominate the weak,
to squander natural resources and energy,
to deny basic necessities to people,
to stand up and affirm
the demands of justice and social love.
Almighty Father,
give us courage to proclaim the supreme dignity
of all human life and to demand
that society itself give its protection.
We ask this in your name,
through the redemptive act
of your Son and in the Holy Spirit.
Amen.
Lord,
I thank You for this baby and I give my pregnancy to You, praying that throughout the whole time You will be there to comfort and encourage and strengthen each member of the family.
I pray that You would place Your hand of blessing on this little human being that is being formed in my womb... may he or she grow up to know You and may they become a mighty person of God.AMEN
Dear God, You know the ongoing difficulties that I have had with my pregnancy - morning sickness and other ailments that seem to have shadowed this pregnancy from the moment that I conceived.
I know that there is pain and problems that are connected with the joy of having a baby, and I don't want it to appear that all I am doing complaining of feeling ill - when my heart is rejoicing that I am carrying this precious little life within me. AMEN
Father God, I thank You for my baby's heartbeat, and even though I can't hear it yet, I know You can. Bless my baby's heart and cause it to grow strong, just as it should be. Protect my baby's heart from any defects or problems. Your Word says that in the beginning Your creative powers were at work. I acknowledge Your power and ask You to extend it to my baby also.AMEN
Dear Lord, I pray for my baby's brain development. I pray that my baby will develop a healthy, intelligent brain. I pray now that this baby will grow normally, just as it is supposed to, according to Your plan for pregnancy. I pray that the cells will multiply and grow and that the brain and spinal cord will develop properly. Give my baby a strong spinal cord and a strong, intelligent mind. AMEN
Lord, I pray for my child that he or she will exhibit the fruit of the Holy Spirit: love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control. AMEN
