Prayer For The Opening Of The School Year
Almighty God We give you our school. We give you all the teachers and staff who work here, We give you all the children who study here. We pray our school would be place of great discovery, adventure and creativity. May it be a place where we love to learn and where we learn to love, A place where every one is respected and all are deeply valued. We ask all this through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.
Dear Father God, Thank you for holiday times For freedom, family and friends. Help me to keep these happy times in my heart. A am excited to start school. To spend time with my teacher and school friends. Help me to settle back into this school year! Help me to learn, to grow in confidence And to have lots of fun.

God our merciful Father, we turn to you at the start of this new school year. Open our ears to hear
your voice; open our hearts to grow in love as we listen to your word. We make this prayer to you in
the name of Jesus, the Lord. Amen.
God our Father, we know that you love and care for us with an everlasting love.
Today we pray for your blessing on each one of us as we begin this new school year.
Open our minds to the possibilities that this year holds.
Open our eyes to the wonder of each new day.
Open our hearts to the love of your Spirit.
Lord, hold us in the palm of your hand and help us grow in mind and body.
We ask this through Christ our Lord. Amen
Loving Creator, Map your goals for us in our hearts. Make our classrooms oases in the busy world. Make them places of warmth and trust. May our affirmation of our students enable them to know that their opinion counts. Free them to stretch themselves as they seek holistic growth in a safe, nurturing, Christian environment. Amen
Lord Jesus, we ask for Your help as we begin this new school year. Allow us to experience Your presence in the many blessings You put before us. Open our eyes to the new challenges and exciting opportunities that this new school year brings. Open our heart and mind to new friends and new teachers. Give us a generous spirit to be enthusiastic with our studies and courage to accept new opportunities. Help us to be attentive to one another and let us experience Your presence in our new friends. Jesus, inspire us to do our best this year! Amen
Lord, Give us insight to see realistically "what is"; but make us dreamers and give us vision of all the possibilities for "what can be." Use us as your instruments to form, inform, reform, and transform those who come to us. We ask this in your name, Jesus Christ. Amen
Faithful God, this beginning is totally new for some among us. you have blessed us in the past. invitation to develop the many gifts you have given us to be used in service for others. ... Give them the gift of discernment to make the right choices about the future.
