Prayer For Success
Heavenly Father, You have graciously endowed me with a healthy body and the ability to play team games, for which I thank You with all my heart. Thank You for the opportunities to join in the fun and activities that come from participating in team sports.
Guard me from any worldly attitudes that others in the team may display, and help me to be a good and faithful witness to Your greatness and power in the games that I play.
Give me the ability to play in a fair and considerate manner. Help me to develop the right team spirit and a keenness to do my very best, without nurturing a wrong attitude towards other teams and members who may be better or worse than I.
May You be ever before my eyes so that I do not elevate the sport or my position into an idol, but let me participate in a manner that is always pleasing to You. In Jesus' name,

Dear God, I ask You to be with me as I prepare for the most important interview of my life, so far. Please guide me as I prepare my heart and mind for this important meeting.
Give me I pray, that strength and wisdom to answer the questions with integrity and wisdom and give me a good night's rest so that I may be alert and ready for this important time of testing. Also, I pray that You will give me Your Spirit of peace that I may enter the interview with a mind that is thinking clearly.
I pray for success in this interview, but Lord I also ask that whatever the outcome of this interview is, I may know that my times are in Your hands and that You have promised to be with me throughout my life. Help me remember that nothing happens to me by chance, but that in all my ways You are there leading and supporting.
Amen.
Father, I have come to a crossroad in my life and I am not sure which way to go. I know that if I seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, then I will be walking in Your best way for my life.
Help me Lord to be wise in the decisions I make at this junction, where various doors have seemed to close behind me. Lead me Lord in the direction that You would have me go.
Lord, I want my life to count and I want to be successful and to have made a difference. Take my life at this crossroad Lord, and rearrange my direction as You would have me go. As I push on different doors, I ask that You would keep the doors closed that You would not have me go through and allow the right door to open to the place that You would have me go.
As I seek Your face, I pray that Your Spirit would prompt the desires of my heart to become the desires that You have for me. I ask this in the holy name of my Saviour, Jesus,

Heavenly Father, I know that Your ways and understanding are so far removed from my own that I come before You now to ask that You would teach me Your ways, so that I may align my will to Your will and my prayers to the desires of Your heart. Lord, I pray that I may seek Your ways, think Your thoughts that You would have me think and live the life that You would have me to live.
Lord, as I pass through life, everything that I see around me of the way the world operates and the means that men use to accomplish success is diametrically opposed to all that Your Word calls us to be. Father, I know that I could so easily be swept into this way of thinking and behaving, so teach me Your ways, give me an understanding of all that You would have me do and show me the way that You would have me go.
Lord, I know that accumulated wealth, power and fame is so often what the world views as successful, and there is one part of me that would like all three, but I also have witnessed a harvest of poverty that this triad of success produces in the lives of those that pursue this pathway, so Lord keep my desires for success purified in the fires of Your will for my life. Keep me from seeking after a mess of potage when You have prepared a feast for me in the heavenly realm. Lord, I ask that my life may glorify Your name, not only in this age but in the ages to come. I ask this in Jesus' name,

Dear Lord, I know that my ways are not Your ways and Your perspective on my life is different from my own, and Lord at times I long to be more successful in all that I do and all that I try to achieve, not only in my personal life but also in every area of life, my home-life, my work life, my relationships, my recreational times and even my religious activities.
But Lord, the more I read through the Scriptures, the more I come to understand that so much of what I yearn for in life, such as getting on and being successful in work and play, is not necessarily the best thing for me to desire, knowing that this could cause me to wander far from You, to leave my first-love and to become increasingly dependent on myself and less and less dependent upon You.
Help me Lord, to get the right balance between wanting to be successful in all I do, so that my life glorifies my Father in heaven, which truly is the desire of my heart, and becoming successful in the wrong way and for the wrong reasons, for my own honour and glory.
May I become increasingly dependent on You so that whether I have much or a little, I may live my life successfully in Your eyes. Help me to set my heart on Your desires, Your will, Your kingdom. Help me to yearn more and more to be successful in my Christian work and my spiritual growth, rather than in seeking the empty success of the world and the empty prosperity that is from the world, even if it means having to diminish in my eyes and in the esteem of others. May I see You first and Your righteousness Lord and not hanker after the things of this world. To Your praise and glory, in Jesus' name I pray,

Loving Heavenly Father, I come to you today because I want to seek Your will for my life rather than following my own direction in life, as I know that in my heart I can stray from Your best path.
Lord, I want to be successful in what I turn my hand to because I want to do everything as unto You. And so today, I come to lay the desires of my heart before You and to ask that in Your grace, You will forward the plans I have for my life, in a way that is best pleasing to You.
Lead me Lord in the way of Your choosing, as I lay before You the hopes and dreams of my heart, which I would dearly love to fulfil. I surrender all these dreams to You, praying that you will guide me in the path that is best suited to carry out Your best work in me.
I ask this the name of the Lord Jesus,

Loving Lord, I know that all things come from You and You hold all things together, not only in the vastness of the universe, but in my own simple life too. Help me I pray, to plan my future career carefully and wisely, and may I follow the path in my chosen career that honours you.
Watch over all my plans and all that I say and do in my dealings with others. Show me how to give of my best and not to shirk hard work, but gladly fulfil all the duties and responsibilities of life in a gracious and discerning way.
Govern my actions, guard my tongue, bless my efforts, guide my decisions and help me to produce the best, so that in my life and career, I may honour Your name. In Jesus' name,

Dear Lord Jesus, I know that somewhere in the Bible it says that we are to enlarge our tents and stretch forth the curtains of our dwelling, to lengthen the cords and to strengthen the stakes. Father, I ask that You would lead me to enlarge the tent of my life and give me the vision to spread forth my wings and fly in the direction that You would have me go.
Help me to grow in grace and wisdom as I step out into an unknown future. Be with me Lord I pray, and give me success in all I do, for I want to be pleasing in Your sight. May I be used of You to reach out in whatever direction I go, not for my own credit but to Your praise and glory. I ask this in Jesus' name,
