And always, always, give thanks to God
We give thee but thine own,
Whatever it may be,
All that we have is thine oh Lord,
A trust Oh Lord from thee.
God our Father,
creator and ruler of the universe,
in every age you call us
to develop and use our gifts for the good of others.
With St. Joseph as our example and guide,
help us to do the work you have asked
and come to the rewards you have promised.
We ask this through Christ our Lord. Amen
Lord God, we live in disturbing days,
across the world,
prices rise,
debts increase,
banks collapse,
jobs are taken away,
and fragile security is under threat.
Loving God, meet us in our fear and hear our prayer:
be a tower of strength amidst the shifting sands,
and a light in the darkness;
help us receive your gift of peace,
and fix our hearts where true joys are to be found,
in Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.
Oh risen Christ, let our profession be also our petition,
We believe in God, the Father Almighty.
We bless you for our creation, preservation and all the blessings of this life.
The covenant of your love and your faithfulness is our confidence that we will be kept safe forever. Give to the nations the joy of your saving help again, that we can perpetually rejoice in knowing you as our loving Father and the one alone who holds all might.
We believe in Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen
"Heavenly father, I do lift up the Christian people of faith in Jesus Christ in Turkey. I cannot imagine the struggle and the pain. Yet to know you is everthing. I pray for those who are searching for truth and life that they will discover the message of the cross and resurrection. Give uncommon strength through your spirit to those who are on the front lines praying for friends and family who do not know you. In the name of Jesus Christ. Amen!"
We pray for those who do not know you and have no one to turn to,
The many who have been driven to despair and even suicide.
Lord, in these troubled times, we pray for strength and resilience.
Cause your church, the Body of Christ, to be a beacon of light and hope.
Make us ready to stand alongside those who are
Weighted down by the pressure of living.
Enable us to bring your compassionate presence
Through the sharing of each other's burdens.
Christ, you are the light which darkness cannot overcome.
Indeed, darkness is not dark to you;
For the night is as bright as day.
Christ, be the light which dispels our darkness
And restore order to our inner chaos.
Deliver us from the darkness of our self-centered ways;
From greed, envy and ignorance;
From unrestrained passions;
From the darkness of despair, futility and despondency.
Christ, the wisdom of God. Amen
God, enable us by your wisdom to keep things in perspective.
For, God, you are bigger than the problems we face each day.
We remember your mercy and faithfulness.
Through your counsel and encouragement,
You have enabled us to overcome the many setbacks and adversities of life.
We continue now, to trust in your goodness and provision.
For you are a God who hears, answers, and acts on our behalf,
Out of the abundance of your eternal love.
We trust you in your grace and mercy to sustain us.
