Prayer For Peace Within

Lord Jesus, who traveled with the disciples on the road to Emmaus: Be with us on the way, that we may know you in the scriptures, in the breaking of bread, and in the hearts of all whom we meet. Amen.

Dear Lord, I come before you ready to pour out my worries, anxieties and fears at Your feet. I am claiming and declaring Your promises for blessings of peace and strength over my life. Bring a peace into my soul that passes all worldly understanding and make me a light for others to see Your strength.

In the name of the One who makes the wind and the waves stand still, Amen.

Lord God, we thank and praise you for the gifts which you bestow upon your
peacemakers ?in n.?. From your Spirit flows the patience, energy, discernment,
intuition, wisdom and vision which are required to do this work well. We ask for a
continued strengthening of all these gifts for your peacemakers ?in n.?, and that each
person gifted in this way would reflect the glory of your reconciling power back to
you.
Amen

God, I am grateful that You are the Mighty God Who created the whole universe, yet You hold me in Your hands. I am grateful that You are the Wonderful Counselor Who guides me when I turn over my life to You. I am grateful that You are the Prince of Peace Who takes away my fears and brings peace in my heart. I am grateful that You are the Everlasting Father Who calls me by name each day to new life with You. In Jesus' name. Amen.

Jesus, we thank you that you promised us peace. When you left this earth you gave your peace as a gift to your disciples and followers and as we follow you today that same peace is available to us. We receive it as your sons of peace. Thank you for the Holy Spirit who gives us tranquility of the mind and heart in troubling times. Thank you for the fruit of your Spirit, peace. We pray that you would impart that peace to our mind, heart and soul continually. We bind up fear and cast if from our midst and we loose your perfected love which casts out all fear. We pray a new revelation into Your love for us and with this revelation the peace that passeth all understanding will fill us. Give us peace for the journey to fulfill the plan and destiny that you have on our lives. Thank you that this peace will never leave us for it is not given as the world gives peace. Your peace does not ebb and flow or wain based on culture, society, money, government, daily circumstances when things are good or when things are bad. Your peace is not fickle. It stands on Your word and is stable and will stay with us through all eternity. Let us never take our eyes off of you so that the waves of this world will consume us and take our peace. Your peace is wrought by your grace and may your grace abound even more in us. Thank you for your peace and we trust you to perfect everything that concerns us. We lay at your altar everything that would take our peace and trust that you will be Sovereign over all. Speak Peace be still. Fill us now anew with your peace, in Jesus Name, Amen

Whenever I'm stressed, anxious, or afraid, help me remember to run to you. You're the only one that can calm my fears and end my fretful behavior. Whether in trivial or heavy matters, I know you will not only give me peace; Lord, you will be my peace. And when I draw close to youin prayer, in reading your Word, in helping another, in taking my mind off myselfyou will be there, up close and personal.

I can't handle these times alone, Lord. Will you speak peace and calm my storms, or hold my hand while we walk through them together? Will you bring the reassuring wisdom of those who have come through similar times into my life? Thank you, Lord. I'm trusting you.

In the name of the One who makes the wind and the waves stand still, Amen.

Oh Lord, sometimes my insides feel like a battle zone, where missiles are falling too close to home. Other times I'm caught in an endless storm, with thoughts flying out of control. Confusion reigns and defeat creeps in to steal my joy. I need your peacethe deep-down-in-your-heart kind that stays with me day and night and speaks confidently into the wind. Calm my anxious spirit, Lord; all the attacking "if-only's" and "what-ifs" fill me with needless worry.

I know that trust is a big part of experiencing peace and that fear has no place in my life. Most of the things I worry about or dread don't even happen. So I'm declaring my trust in you. I'm releasing the reins of my life again and asking you to take control. I may need to pray this same prayer daily, but I'm tired of the frenzy of life that leaves my schedule and my thoughts without any margin. I need more of you, Lord, and less of me. Amen

Grant me the grace to accept this trial and sufferings and offer this
for the salvation of my soul and those of my family and loved ones.
Forgive me for all my sins and fill me with your love, peace, joy, kindness and generosity.
Let me realize the deeper meaning of my sickness and trial and lead me
closer to you as I find comfort in your loving heart.

Let me find joy and peace amidst my suffering.
And with eyes of faith, see the blessing and victory that await me.
And then, dear Father, after I have been healed, may I be a witness of your
healing power and bring glory, honor and praise to you.

This I pray in Jesus' name through Mary and all the saints.

Amen.
