Prayer For Patience And Self Control
Lord Jesus Christ, You defeated satan in his attempts to tempt you to flaunt Your power with a spirit of self control. And now I call upon Your blessed name. I ask You to bless me with this virtue, which is very much needed in most aspects of life.
I seek Your assistance and guidance. May Your Holy Spirit fill me with power, as I come in prayer and raise my supplications before You. AMEN
Father, please forgive me for the times I have said and done things rashly. Please remind me to consider self-control as God-control. It's not trying to control myself with human effort. But rather it is depending on the Holy Spirit to guide my ways
and choices.

Where there are temptations help me to deliberately walk away from them.
Where there are distractions help me to stay focused and true to the things you have called me to.
Where there are obstacles before me, may your light shine a way through.
Lord, I ask that with your strength and love to guide me
I might live a simple and holy life.

Dear God,
Please help me to have more self-control. Train me Lord, like an athlete to be strong and determined. Feed me with your truth in the scriptures to make me healthy. May I exercise muscles of forgiveness, patience and peacemaking. Lord, increase my stamina to give out to those in need. And may I be freed from past hurts and confusions so that I can run free.
Come fill my life with your resurrection hope!

You are amazing and awesome. You are great and glorious. You are powerful, and you do impossible things.
I come to you and pray that you would transform me so that I enjoy the beauty of patience.
May I become the patient person that you are leading me to be.

God of Peace, Your word states that it is better to be a patient person than a warrior; it is better to have self-control than to conquer a city. I pray that I hold my peace and remain patient in all things. I declare that I will not react out of emotion, instead I will reflect and wait before I act. Patience is better to have than power, so Lord help me remain patient. Amen.
Beautiful One, there are things that I hope for that I yet do not have, but Lord I will wait patiently for them. I know that everything comes according to its set time, therefore I will wait in peace knowing that Your will shall come to pass. Father, I pray that even in my affliction, I wait patiently. I declare that I will remain joyful in hope and faithful in prayer. Amen.
