Prayer For Office Meeting

Lord, before I go into this meeting, I still myself before you. For you are filled with beauty and light, and care deeply about me. Help me to listen, before speaking. Help me to fully understand these people, before making my case. Help me to value and appreciate the ones I am about to meet, before thinking of my own concerns and anxieties. May your light enfold me. May your spirit guide me. May your grace abound in me. This is my prayer. Amen.

Heavenly Father, we come to you today asking for your guidance, wisdom, and support as we begin this meeting. Help us to engage in meaningful discussion; allow us to grow closer as a group and nurture the bonds of community. Fill us with your grace, Lord God, as we make decisions that might affect the students, staff, faculty, alumni and friends of Saint Louis University. And continue to remind us that all that we do here today, all that we accomplish, is for the pursuit of truth for the greater glory of You, and for the service of humanity. We ask these things in your name, Amen.

Faithful Father, we thank you for hearing our prayers, feeding us with your word, and encouraging us as we have gathered together. Take our lives and use us to love and serve you, and all people, in the power of your Spirit and in the name of your Son. We are created by your power, redeemed by your love and strengthened by your Spirit. We give ourselves into your service, may we love you and love others with all our hearts. Through Jesus Christ, our Lord, Amen.

Almighty God, you graciously hear all our prayers and you promise that when two or three agree together in your name you will grant their requests. Fulfill our desires and prayers, and make all things work together for our good. Increase our knowledge of your truth, and our experience of your love. You are able to keep us from stumbling and to present us blameless before the presence of your glory with great joy. To you, our God, be glory, majesty, dominion, and authority, before all time and now and forever. Through Jesus Christ, our Lord, Amen.

Almighty God, our Father, we praise and thank you for this day. You have given us another opportunity to appreciate life and to fulfill our mission as Your instruments of peace and progress. Please pardon us for our shortcomings. Help us to amend our impieties, may we learn to pattern our lives through Your Sons example.

Father, bless all our endeavors, especially todays meeting. Guide us in our discussions. Enlighten our minds in every decision that we make. Give us Your grace that we may effectively do our parts as public servants. Bless our plans, programs and projects, so that we may achieve our objectives, for Your greater glory.

All these we ask in Jesus name. Amen.

Loving heavenly Father,
We come to you this hour asking for your blessing and help as we are gathered together.
We pray for guidance in the matters at hand and ask that you would clearly show us how to
conduct our work with a spirit of joy and enthusiasm.
Give us the desire to find ways to excel in our work. Help us to work together and encourage
each other to excellence.
We ask that we would challenge each other to reach higher and farther to be the best we can be.
We ask this in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ.
Amen

God the Father almighty, we fervently implore You for the sake of this home and its occupants and possessions, that You may bless and sanctify them, enriching them by Your kindness in every way possible. Pour out on them, Lord, heavenly dew in good measure, as well as an abundance of earthly needs. Mercifully listen to their prayers, and grant that their desires be fulfilled. At our lowly coming be pleased to bless and sanctify this home, as You once were pleased to bless the home of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob. Within these walls let Your angels of light preside and stand watch over those who live here; through Christ our Lord.

God, who sanctify the places dedicated to Your name, pour out Your grace on this house of prayer, that all who here call on Your name may experience Your kind assistance; through Christ our Lord. Amen
