Prayer For Oilfield Workers
Lord please take care of us, we will persevere this, we know that there are better and brighter days ahead, and we know that God wants to help us, we know that he hears our prayers. In Jesus Name. Amen
God, our Father, we wish to thank You and those who planned
and guided the activities of our meeting and all those who contributed in any way to its fruition. May Your Holy Spirit bide and strengthen us in this coming year. Make the knowledge and skills we have gained be effective in promoting good workmanship. Bless these gifts, which we are about to receive and see us
safely home. Amen.
Let them know there are millions of us out here praying for them and their loved ones.
We give You all the praise and glory forever, Lord, and know that even in the darkest hours, You are always with us.
We pray for our church, that it may be a witness to your compassion and care for all who suffer.
God, you are our refuge and strength, an ever-present help in times of trouble. For this we give you thanks and ask that you hear our prayers for the people of_________________________________.
There are many people suffering right now who have lost their jobs in the energy sectorthere are a lot of families who have been hurt, and I think prayer is always a good thing, for anyone.
Therefore, since we are surrounded by such a great cloud of witnesses, let us throw off everything that hinders and the sin that so easily entangles. And let us run with perseverance the race marked out for us, 2 fixing our eyes on Jesus, the pioneer and perfecter of faith. For the joy set before him he endured the cross, acorning its shame, and sat down at the right hand of the throne of God. 3 Consider him who endured such opposition from sinners, so that you will not grow weary and lose heart.
In some ways Lord,
Time stands still whilst he is away.
And I trust in you to hold us both.
Keep us safe across this distance,
When our worlds are apart.
In some ways Lord,
I can not face the gravity of danger
In which he works.
So I kneel before you
And ask for your peace that surpasses all understanding.
Yet in some ways Lord,
I can at times feel closer to him
When I miss him so.
And even closer to You
Our Lord, our Saviour, our friend who hears our prayers.
So in every way, I entrust him to You.
Fill me up Lord.
In this oilfield, amidst the toil,
Barrenness and isolation,
You are with me.
Fill me up Lord.
In this place where we dig for oil
And all the provision it holds,
You provide for me.
Fill me up Lord.
In this community, set apart
From loved ones and family,
You are my friend.
Fill me up Lord.
In this moment, with these colleagues
Where we face danger everyday,
You are my protector.
Fill me up Lord.
Today come and renew my strength,
Inspire my heart and calm my mind.
You are my Saviour.
Amen.
