Prayer For Nursing Home Residents

Jesus, keep our nurses healthy and strong in all areas of their lives. Protect their families, their marriages, their children, their incomes, their futures. Provide them with physical and emotional and spiritual rest. Help them not to grow weary in doing good(Galatians 6:9) and build them up when they're breaking down. Bless them with so much compassion that it spills effortlessly into their patients' lives. Be their backbone, their living water, and the one who continually fills them before they even come close to running on empty.

Dear God,

We seek your help and intervention on behalf of ____. We pray for all the physicians, nurses, and health care providers involved in their care. Please grant the medical team wisdom to know the best course of action to relieve pain and promote healing. And if our knowledge falls short, we ask that you would close that gap, and provide wisdom and insight and guidance into this situation. We know that you are good and that you love ____. Please comfort them in this difficult time and we ask that you would ease their pain and give them hope and peace.

In His name,

Amen

Let Your love shine through me today, and pour Your compassion into my heart, so that I may bring comfort and joy into the lives of different people today.

Lord, I pray that I may do my very best today, simply because You are there to lead and guide in all things. In Jesus' name I pray,

Amen.

Dear Lord, give me an understanding heart I pray, and a fill my lips with words of comfort and encouragement, as I deal with the nursing duties that I am called upon to do, and especially Lord, when I am confronted with uncooperative patients or unsympathetic doctors.

Be with me I pray, as I care for the patients in my charge today, and I ask that You would guide my tongue from hasty words. Give me grace and wisdom, when I am called upon to deal with the irritations of patients that complain and make me sensitive towards those that try to hide their fears behind a mask of indifference.

Dear Lord, let me receive the sick and traumatized with an open and giving heart. Give to my efforts success so that life may continue, if it be your will. Without you I can not succeed. Let me have no purpose except the glorification of life. Grant that the sick that you have placed in my care be abundantly blessed, and not one of them be lost because of any neglect on my part. Help me to overcome every temporal wekaness so that I may serve to my fullest capacity. Let me always reach out in joy, compassion and with a loving heart for all. Amen.

Almight God,
Divine Healer of all, grant me,
Your handmaiden, strength and courage in my calling.
Give to my heart compassion and understanding.
Give to my hands skill and tenderness.
Give to my mind knowledge and wisdom.
Especially, Dear Lord,
help me always to remember the true purpose of my vocation,
that of selfless service and dedication to the weak and despairing in body and spirit.

Almighty God,

We lift up our nurses as they go through difficult times. Guide their hands and minds in caring for their patients. Bless them with the understanding and knowledge they need in this situation.

We also ask that you bless them with courage. Give them a sound mind as they make decisions. Bless them with the grace and wisdom they need to provide the best care possible.

We pray for all nurses, physicians, and healthcare providers working hard to support their patients.

Amen.

Dear God,

Today, there are a lot of nurses who are in dire need of support. They are tired and exhausted in performing their duties. They are underappreciated, overworked, and not being protected enough.

Help nurses endure long hours. You know the sacrifices they make for everyone else and so please, we pray, bless them. Fill them with hope, give them the strength to carry on, and sustain their health. Allow them to refresh themselves and rely on You. We ask that you give them good health as they care for the health of others.

We pray for this in the name of Jesus Christ, Amen.
