Prayer For Nations In Scripture
Heavenly Father, we come again tonight. We come in the Name of Jesusnot our name, not our power,
not our holiness, not even our goodnessbut we come in the Name of Jesus, washed in His blood, robed
in His righteousness. We come because You told us to come. You said in Your Holy Word for us to come
boldly to the throne of grace that we may obtain help and grace to help in the time of need. Thank You,
Father. We are exhorted in Your Word to pray, to intercede, to supplicate, and to give thanks for ALL who
are in authority, that Christiansthat believerseverywhere, may lead a quiet and peaceable life in all
godliness and honesty.
Verily I say unto you, Whatsoever ye shall bind on earth shall be bound in heaven: and whatsoever ye
shall loose on earth shall be loosed in heaven.
19 Again I say unto you, That if two of you shall agree on earth as touching any thing that they shall ask,
it shall be done for them of my Father which is in heaven.
20 For where two or three are gathered together in my name, there am I in the midst of them.
Mightier than the thunder of the great waters, mightier than the breakers of the seathe Lord on high is mighty. Psalm 93:4
When you pass through the waters, I will be with you; and when you pass through the rivers, they will not sweep over you. When you walk through fire, you will not be burned; the flames will not set you ablaze. Isaiah 43:2
And it shall come to pass that everyone who is left of all the nations which came against Jerusalem shall go up from year to year to worship the King, the LORD of hosts, and to keep the Feast of Tabernacles. And it shall be that whichever of the families of the earth do not come up to Jerusalem to worship the King, the LORD of hosts, on them there will be no rain. If the family of Egypt will not come up and enter in, they shall have no rain; they shall receive the plague with which the LORD strikes the nations who do not come up to keep the Feast of Tabernacles. This shall be the punishment of Egypt and the punishment of all the nations that do not come up to keep the Feast of Tabernacles.
I pray, let Your anger and Your fury be turned away from Your city Jerusalem, Your holy mountain; because for our sins, and for the iniquities of our fathers, Jerusalem and Your people are a reproach to all those around us. Now therefore, our God, hear the prayer of Your servant, and his supplications, and for the Lord's sake cause Your face to shine on Your sanctuary, which is desolate. O my God, incline Your ear and hear; open Your eyes and see our desolations, and the city which is called by Your name; for we do not present our supplications before You because of our righteous deeds, but because of Your great mercies.
And I prayed to the LORD my God, and made confession, and said, "O Lord, great and awesome God, who keeps His covenant and mercy with those who love Him, and with those who keep His commandments, we have sinned and committed iniquity, we have done wickedly and rebelled, even by departing from Your precepts and Your judgments. Neither have we heeded Your servants the prophets, who spoke in Your name to our kings and our princes, to our fathers and all the people of the land. O Lord, righteousness belongs to You, but to us shame of face, as it is this dayto the men of Judah, to the inhabitants of Jerusalem and all Israel, those near and those far off in all the countries to which You have driven them, because of the unfaithfulness which they have committed against You.
Lord, Heal our Land. Show us mercy! Forgive us our sins and cleanse us! Revive Your
churches. Set our pulpits aflame with righteousness. Purge compromise from our pews
and cause Your word to go forth to every city and town in America. Make Your people
salt and light again. Raise up godly leaders in church and state and grant that we might
lead quiet and peaceable lives in godliness and honesty. Help us to return wholly to You
and return, Lord, to us. We pray in the Name of Jesus, knowing that Your word declares,
The grass withers, the flower fades, But the word of our God stands forever." (2 Chr
