Prayer For Labor And Delivery
Lord Jesus Christ, hear my cry to you as I deliver my child. You have said that you hear the cry of anyone who calls to you. Please restore my strength as I feel weary. Please give me the endurance I need to carry on. Refresh my soul with your Holy Spirit. Let me cling onto your promises. Through Jesus Christ, our Lord, Amen.
Heavenly Father, thank you that your word is living and active, powerful and effective. Your word says that your peace, which transcends all understanding, will guard my heart and my mind in Christ Jesus. May I know that peace as I give birth. Through Jesus Christ, our Lord, Amen.
Generous Father, you are the God who gives strength to the weary. You are the God who has promised to increase the power of the weak. As I progress through labor and delivery, pour out your strength into my mind and body. May I glorify you throughout this process. Through Jesus Christ, our Lord, Amen.
Lord God, Please allow me to have endurance that comes from you, and keep me safe. Watch over my baby and allow him/her to be born under the best of circumstances. May Your will be done, Lord. Give me a sense of calm and purpose as I go through labor and delivery.
Loving Father, please bring relief to me in my time of labor. I ask that I would know your comforting presence. Soothe and protect me during this difficult time. May your peace overflow in my life. Pour out your abundant blessings on my child. Through Jesus Christ, our Lord, Amen.
O God of Loving Devotion, thank you that you are perfectly faithful. You never forget a promise. You have promised that all my needs will be supplied by you. Please provide everything I need throughout the process of childbirth. Be with me during the highs and the lows. Through Jesus Christ, our Lord, Amen.
Sovereign Lord, soothe me with your calming grace in this time of labor. I am your child. I belong to you and I am safe in your hands. Fill my heart with the assurance that you are full of steadfast love for me. In your mercy, may I find peace. Through Jesus Christ, our Lord, Amen.
