Prayer For Laboring Mother
Compassionate Lord, I thank you that as I give birth today, you are alongside me. When I feel isolated, remind me that I am never alone. Encourage me that you are here and you love me. Help me to feel secure in the knowledge that you have good plans for me. Through Jesus Christ, our Lord, Amen.
God of Love, thank you for the life and grace that you alone can give. As I give birth today, I ask that I would know your powerful presence with me. May your peace enfold me, your wisdom guide me, your hand protect me, and your love fill me. Through Jesus Christ, our Lord, Amen.
God of All Comfort, remind me that this pain is temporary and is leading to great joy. Keep my eyes fixed on you. Give me the strength I need to keep going. I can trust that you will bring me safely through this experience, rejoicing in your great gift of a child. Through Jesus Christ, our Lord, Amen.
Abba, Father, pour out your blessings upon me as I give birth and show grace and mercy to my child. May I be filled with joy as a new life enters the world. May I rely on your grace to help me raise this child. May I demonstrate your love to my child. Through Jesus Christ, our Lord, Amen.
Loving Father, reach down and help me through childbirth. Children are a gift from you, and you have led me down this joyous path to giving birth. You created me, and now you have created my baby. Most Holy God, thank you that I am never alone because your Holy Spirit dwells in me. As my child enters the world, I ask that he/she be filled with your divine love. Lord of Unfailing Love, help me when I feel afraid. When I feel overwhelmed, help me know you can carry me onwards. You are my comforter, Lord, please comfort me. Replace my fear with trust in your plans and purposes. Protect my child and me through this time. Through Jesus Christ, our Lord, Amen.
Merciful Father, thank you that every good and perfect gift comes from you. May I feel peace and security in your arms as I give birth. May your love fill my heart with joy.
