Prayer For Guidance And Protection
Father, I entrust my children into Your loving care. You are the most powerful influence in their lives, so I ask You to surround them with Your constant presence and safety. Because You love children, You are even more concerned than I am as a parent. You take their protection seriously. Place Your Holy Spirit around them like a bubble that deflects any harm aimed their way. Guard them from danger at school, whether from outside or inside. Place Your angels in strategic places, ready to move on their behalf. Let no evil come near them.
Give them a steadfast faith and trust in You that puts their fears at rest, knowing they will live in safety with Your solid protection. Guard them from temptation and those who would try to make them compromise their convictions. When trouble comes, let them cry out to You, their Deliverer and Refuge. May their security rest not in this world, but in their relationship with You and in their eternal future. Impress on them daily that this world is not their final home, and that nothing and no one can ever separate them from Your love. In Jesus' precious name, Amen.

It is not for myself that I want to pray today, dear Father, but for those who are near and dear to me and about whom I worrying. You know what they are facing, dear Father. And You know most of all the deepest reasons why these things have come upon them!
And You know how I want to help. Truly I think it would be easier if I could only face what they are facing. But You know how helpless we are to help another even though we know what is just and right.
Only You are left, dear Father. Do be with them in all things at all times. Protect them from enemies and evil, my Father. Forgive them their sins and put love of others in their hearts.
O do make them happy in their lives at home, dear Father, and help them live as You wouldst have them live. Above all, put love in their hearts for You.
And thank You, my Father, for Your goodness to them and to me. Thank You for Your love and guidance and protection! May we honor you all the days of our lives. And be happy and uplifted even as I feel right now!

Dear Father in Heaven, I come to You in my time of need, to beg for Your protection and Your guidance in my life. Please help me see Your hand in this situation and give me peace, even when I am unworthy. O Lord, I need Your protective shield over me and my family and I ask that you give me the sense of calmness as I follow Your path.

Lord, we are assailed moment by moment with images on television, the internet, books and newspapers that leave us vulnerable to sin of every kind. Surround us with Your divine hedge of protection. Encompass us round about with Your strength and Your might. Let all who take refuge in You be glad, let them ever sing for joy. And may You shelter us, that those who love Your name may exult in You. For it is You who blesses the righteous man, O LORD, You surround him favor as with a shield. (Psalm 5:11-12)
Lord, I ask that You protect our minds. Father, the mindset on the flesh is death, but the mindset on the Spirit is life and peace. (Romans 8:6) O God, set our minds on You. Let us not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of our minds that we may prove what Your will is, that which is good and acceptable and perfect. (Romans 12:2) Help us by the power of Your Spirit to think on whatever is true, whatever is honorable, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is of good repute, if there is any excellence and if anything is worthy of praise, let our minds dwell on these things. (Philippians 4:8)
Strengthen us in the power of Your might, O God. Dress us in Your armor so that we can stand firm against the schemes of the devil. We know that our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the powers, against the world forces of this darkness, against the spiritual forces of wickedness in the heavenly places. (Ephesians 6:10-12)
You are our keeper, O Lord, the shade on our right hand. Protect us from all evil and keep our soul. Guard our going out and our coming in. From this time and forever. In Jesus' name, Amen.
Lord, I pray Your emotional, physical, and spiritual protection over my kids (grandkids). Keep evil far from them, and help them to trust You as their refuge and strength. I pray You will guard their minds from harmful instruction, and grant them discernment to recognize truth. I pray You will make them strong and courageous in the presence of danger, recognizing that You have overcome and will set right all injustice and wrong one day. Help them to find rest in Your shadow, as they live in the spiritual shelter You provide for them. Let them know that the only safe place is in Jesus, and that their home on earth is only temporary.
O Lord, our redemption. Be our protection. Direct our minds by your gracious presence. Watch over our paths and guide us with your love through the hidden snares of life. Fix our hearts on you as we go forward, and following in faith, arrive at your goal; through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.
