Prayer For Girls

O God of mercy and compassion, we come before you to pray for the safe return of the Nigerian schoolgirls who were kidnapped from their school, separated from their families, and may be sold into slavery and forced marriage. We pray for their safety, swift rescue and return to their homes.

We join our prayers with those of their grieving parents and families. Comfort them in their distress and hear our prayers for their beloved daughters.

We pray that the Nigerian government, with the assistance and support of the international community, will make every effort to rescue the kidnapped schoolgirls and reunite them with their families. We also pray that all nations will affirm the right of girls everywhere to pursue an education, and will protect them and their schools from violent and unwarranted attacks.

O God, look with compassion on the Nigerian schoolgirls and all victims of human trafficking and child exploitation. We pray for an end to their captivity, for the safety and well-being of children everywhere, and the success of efforts throughout the world to end the sin of human trafficking. Amen.

Most Dear and Precious Lord of the Universe Of Life

I acknowledge you as the owner of this day and my life. I acknowledge you as the Creator, the Source, the Gift and the Giver of all that is needed and essential to the evolution of life. At the core and essence of my being and every being there is the fullness of you God as the truth. In the midst of every atom, molecule and cell of my being and every being there is the fullness of your wisdom, love and divinity that makes me and every other living being noble. I know that in this sacred moment, all that You are I am. With that awareness I ask for and open consciousness to be filled with the Truth that is God, the Wisdom that is God, the Love that is God, the infinite connection to everyone and everything that has been created to represent. Your presence and the gift of life.

In this scared moment I confess that my heart is heavy and my thinking is confused about the plight of the daughters, sisters, granddaughters and nieces, the precious flowers that have been stolen away in Nigeria. I confess that I feel sad and angry and moment-by-moment I am fighting off ugly, hateful, unloving thoughts about the person or people who have stolen them.

I confess my awareness and understanding that this is not the first time and these are not the first girls who have been placed in jeopardy by adults that don't not recognize Your presence in every life. I am aware and I recognize that I have dismissed, denied, ignored and failed to act in the many instances about which I knew or heard or suspected that some young girl was being abused or violated or dishonored. I confess that I have done to many girls exactly what was done to me; rendered myself un-responsible and unresponsive to their sorrow and suffering. For this I forgive myself and ask Your forgiveness. I am aware that the person or people who have violated You and them by behaving in such an violent and unloving way are also in confusion. I know that those girls are frightened and confused and that they need You to move on the minds and hearts of the people who have taken them into captivity. I know that somewhere in this experience You are now moving and Being everything that is required to remind the world of the sanctity of life and the preciousness of all children. I therefore ask that you open our eyes, minds and heats that we will know exactly what to do to save these girls and us. Fix it Abba! I am asking that You fix,change, renew, restore and transform everything and everyone involved so that we live and move and think and conduct ourselves in more loving ways, ways that are kind, supportive and protective of or children and each other.

I am thanking You right now for the wisdom You are pouring over the leaders of the Nigerian government and governments everywhere to act, to take the next most appropriate steps and right action to find and rescue these precious flowers we call girls. I am thanking you right now for the peace you give to the parents of the girls that are missing by join their minds and hearts with our prayers. I am thanking you right now for the compassion, clarity and conviction that You are pouring out all over the world so that we, your people can see the importance of this matter and the power we hold to effect change and bring this matter to a peaceful resolution. Remove malice from our hearts. Remove ignorance and indifference from our minds. Remove all thoughts and beliefs of separation so that we become aware, accept and acknowledge that these are all our children for whom you have given us all responsibility. Cover every little girl everywhere with the shield of your Presence so that no hurt, harm or danger can be visited upon her today. Forgive us for the ones we allowed to be stolen, violated, abused and exploited while we remained silent. Forgive us for forgetting that every life is precious and every child is Your hope in the future.

Fix this Jehovah!

Fix us Adonai!

Make it plain El Elyon!

Make it right Jehovah Tsidkenu!

Shower us with the fullness of Your divine justice so these girls shall be returned and those who have taken them will be enlightened and held accountable.

I ask that whatever is in the world that needs to be corrected so that we remember the Truth about children and life and love be corrected and re-aligned so that everyone everywhere lives in the realization that THIS is UNACCEPTABLE. Stealing, abusing, violating, selling, exploiting girls and all children is UNACCEPTABLE! I ask the loving intention of my heart fill each of these words so that they take on flesh and become the reality of this day. Your word as written James 5:16 says: Confess your errors to each other and pray for each other so that you may be healed. The earnest prayer of a righteous person has great power and produces wonderful results.

I confess. I pray. I wait with excited anticipation of the mighty move of Your power on this earth in anticipation of the return of our girls.

Knowing that as I ask and believe It Is So.

I Let It Be!

Amen.

I pray you'll know a friend in Jesus. That you'll bring Him with you wherever you go and share Him with everyone you meet.

I pray that you'll be strong, and be the type of girl who does things that scare her. I also pray that you'll know it's OK to ask for help when you can't do it on your own.

I pray that you surround yourself with good friends and that you'll be a good friend to others. I also pray that you will be kind to the people who are not good friends to you.

Everyone is fighting battles and I hope you have a heart of compassion even toward those who are mean.

I pray that you won't feel the need to give part of yourself to a man to feel loved. I pray your heart won't be fractured in that way. I pray you'll wait for a man who desires to follow God's way.

I pray that you will look at injustice and be a voice for the vulnerable. Whether it's a kid being bullied at school or an injustice on a grander level, I pray you will stand for those being pushed down . . . just like Jesus did.

I pray that you will know you are an actual princess. You're the daughter of the King. You don't need the big dress or pearls to prove it. The fact that He created you means you are royalty.

I pray that you'll know you don't need a man to complete you. You are complete all on your own. But I pray you find a good man anyway, one who encourages you and creates dreams with you. One who takes your hand and chases after God with you.

I pray that you'll love your body for the temple it is. I pray you won't shame it or manipulate it. I pray that you recognize that your body is a home for God's spirit, and was bought at a high price.

I pray that in your struggles you will learn so much about grace. I pray you learn firsthand what it's like to be held in your weakest moments and to know you are never alone.

I pray you won't have to compromise yourself or your morals to make others happy. I pray your eyes are focused on the Lord's desire for your life, not man's.

I pray that you know every single day how important you are. That you were created by the Creator on purpose. He looked at the whole world, in all its entirety and eternity, and thought you would be an important piece to His great plan.

I pray you'll learn forgiveness can set you free. I pray you won't live a life imprisoned by anger and bitterness.

I pray that even though I'm so imperfect and have failed at so many of these, that I can be one of the people who helps guide you through these things.

Most importantly, my baby girl, I pray you know how loved you are. Our God loves you more than I can explain, but you have a mama who will spend the rest of her life trying to give you just a glimpse of His love for you.

Amen.I pray you'll know a friend in Jesus. That you'll bring Him with you wherever you go and share Him with everyone you meet.

We pray for your daughters around the world, Creator God,
As they wake up to days of work, carrying water, caring for younger children, working in the fields;
As they are denied opportunities for study as they watch boys go off to school;
As they face violence when they do have an opportunity to attend schools and engage in learning;
As they are bartered into sexual slavery;
As they deal with abuse in their families and communities.

You have created us all with gifts and potential, Creator God,
so we can flourish as humans and contribute to the common good.
We pray for all girls, in all countries and regions of the world,
That they, too, may flourish and develop their gifts,
That they may grow with grace and dignity,
That they may bring their talents and skills
To create a world where everyone may thrive
And flourish as a child made in the image of God. Amen.

Father, I thank you for the awesome responsibility of raising girls. I pray your blessing and favor over each of them. Lord cover them and protect them as they begin to grow. Let them see themselves through your eyesas a Masterpiece that You've perfectly designed. Help them to be modest in how they dress and how they present themselves. Help me to teach them to value themselves as daughters of the Most High. I pray that their confidence would be in You alonenot in what anyone else thinks or says about them. Help them be content in the way You've made them and not long for something more. In Jesus' name, Amen.

Lord, thank you for my precious daughters. Father draw them closer to you. I know that You've given them the mind of Christ, but Lord help them to truly understand what that means for them. Reveal Your Word to them in such a way that they long to know who they are and Whose they are. Protect their hearts and minds as they navigate the teenage years. Let them be attracted to the things of You over the things of this world. Guard their minds against any attack of the enemy.

I rebuke every lie, plot, ploy or scheme that the enemy would try to use against them, in Jesus' name. I thank you that Jesus died on the cross so that they would be free- mind, body, soul and spirit. Guide me and direct me as I teach them about You. Let me be a picture of Your grace in their lives. In Jesus' name, Amen.

Lord, may You fulfill many girls' longing for wisdom and a better life. Bless them with a quality education, school supplies, and a family that supports their scholastic goals.

Dear Lord, touch the lives of girls even before they are born. Let them be born healthy and whole, and let their parents love and cherish them as much as You do.
