Prayer For Friend Whose Mother Is Dying
God,
Give this person strength.
Grant this person confidence.
Allow them the opportunity to discover if the passing person knows you.
Give them wisdom to know when to speak and what to say.
Let them bring your presence into the room.
Let them carry your love into the situation.
Encourage them with a special gift or your presence.
Amen.
Jesus, my Savior, comfort my friend, Give her peace and comfort in the idea of death of her mother and let her feel ready to go when the time comes. I ask that You help her say and do whatever it is she feels like she needs to do before she dies. God, let her know that it is okay for her to go when she is ready. Let her have comfort in the truth that we will miss her, but we know she will be happier with You. Amen.
Compassionate Father, I come to You and ask that You let my friend not suffer anymore from her lost of her mom. God let her enjoy the time she has left in this world and let us enjoy her while we still have time. God, give Your comfort because that is the only thing left that can help. Thank You, God, for the woman she is. Amen.
Gracious God, give strength to my friend. She is brave and beautiful and strong, and she is desperately in need of You. As her body weakens, God, let her lean on Your strength for the time she has left. Let her leave this world feeling strong in You and ready for what comes next. God, only You can be her strength now. There is no more earthly healing that can be done. Let her be Yours. Amen.

You love her like a child.
I miss her every day, O Lord
You're with her now, in heavens hold.
I grieve the loss of the one I loved,
You dance for joy as your girl comes home.
I feel the sadness of her passing,
You celebrate her as your own.
I sometimes glimpse your eternal plans
You see everything, so clearly.
So Father God come oh so close
As I miss my mother dearly.

I know her time is near and soon you'll take her home
to stroll across the streets of gold where other angels roam.
It's hard to watch her suffer and slowly fade away.
Help me, God, to understand; give me strength, I pray.
She means so much to all of us; forgive me for my fears.
Life will never be the same without her presence here.
My mother is my angel; she taught me how to love
and told me about you, Lord, and heaven up above.
When she crosses over and steps into the light,
tell her that I love her and when the time is right,
meet me at the pearly gates where everything's brand new.
We'll walk across God's meadow lands where skies are always blue.
Somewhere beyond the sunset every now and then,
I pray she watches over me until we meet again.
