Prayer For Freedom From Fear
So, this Lenten and Coronavirus season, let us pray not just for protection from physical disease but from the disease of worry about the future which robs us of our strength today. Let us take each day as it comes and do what we need to do to get through each day while still striving to love God and those around us. After all, school and public events may get canceled, but His commandments never do, and His promises endure forever. Let us avoid useless talk that leads to unnecessary worry and speculation based on information that comes from second-hand worriers and social media warriors. Instead, let us focus on trusting in the One who exists beyond these ever-changing and ever-perilous times that affect our dark age. Let us pray for what matters more deeply than our health a trust in God which alone vanquishes fear.
Be present, O merciful God, and protect us through the hoursof this day, so that we, who are wearied by the changes andchances of this life, may rest in your eternal changelessness; through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.
O Lord, I beseech you to deliver me, and all of your children, from the fear of the unknown future; from fear of failure; from fear of poverty; from fear of bereavement; from fear of loneliness; from
fear of sickness and pain; from fear of age; from fear of death.
Help us, O Father, by your grace to love and fear only you, and fill our hearts with cheerful courage and loving trust in you; through our Lord and Master Jesus Christ.
Amen.
Dear Heavenly Father,
Please heal me from the fear and torment that has been running my life since I was a little girl. I pray that I experience your peace and love, want to share it with others without being afraid and I pray that I am loosed from the Spirit of Pornography that has been a part of my life since I was little, no matter how hard I try to stop.
I know you hear my prayer and care.
In Jesus Name
Amen.
Lord, I know that You courageously and fearlessly faced the holy sacrifice of Your glorious Cross. As I am invited to follow in Your footsteps, I find that fear can overwhelm me as it did Peter. Please strengthen me in those times and give me the grace I need to say Yes to You no matter what You ask. Jesus, I trust in You.
Father, thank you that you did not give me a spirit of fear but of love, power and a sound mind. You have called me out of darkness to live in your light. Thank you that the enemy is defeated by Christ and he has no power over me. I worship you and you alone as my God, my refuge, my strength and my stronghold. You alone are God and there is none who is your equal. You are King of Kings and Lord of Lords. I worship you and exalt you.
God, I give you my heart. You know where the enemy is attacking me with fear and the way he is attempting to grip my heart with a spirt of fear. I come against the spirit of fear in the name of Jesus and demand it to leave me and my family, in the name of Jesus. Fill me with your Spirit and restore my soul. Heal my heart, mind and spirit from fear and make me confident and secure in you.
God, give me discernment to quickly recognize the lies of the enemy and teach me to take every thought captive under the authority of your Word. Thank you that you are truth and you lead me into all truth. Jesus, thank you for setting me free from fear. Thank you that you heal my heart and mind of fear. You cause me to walk in your peace and your joy gives me strength.
Lord, help me to be a light for you in my home, church and community. Lead me to pray for others and with others who may be struggling with fear. Work in me and through me to lead others to you.
In Jesus Name, Amen.
For the powerful who are enslaved by the fear of losing privilege or possessions, Free them from their fears, O God. For men and women in positions of responsibility who can influence and enrich the lives of others, Free them from their fears, O God. Make them strong to do your will, that your justice may be fulfilled in love. For the whole church and ourselves as members of it, For faithfulness in sharing in Christ's work in the world, For obedience to the guiding of the Holy Spirit, Make us string to do you will, O God.
O Lord, I beseech you to deliver me, and all of your children, from the fear of the unknown future; from fear of failure; from fear of poverty; from fear of bereavement; from fear of loneliness; from fear of sickness and pain; from fear of age; from fear of death. Help us, O Father, by your grace to love and fear only you, and fill our hearts with cheerful courage and loving trust in you; through our Lord and Master Jesus Christ.
Amen.
Father, You have not given me the spirit of fear. I submit to You and resist the temptation to fear terrorists, biochemical warfare, wars and rumors of war. I resist anxiety, and it is far from me. I refuse to impair my immune system through disobedience and resist the temptation to fear, which is a sin. When I am tempted to be afraid and troubled, I will delight myself in You, and receive from Your bountiful supply a spirit of power (the Holy Spirit) and love (Father-God's nature) and a sound mind (the Word of God). This is the victory that overcomes the world, even my faith, in the name of Jesus. Amen.
