Prayer For Freedom From Imprisonment

Father God, please be a source of protection to everyone that is in prison. Cause those that make the lives of other prisoners troublesome by attacking and harming them to stop. Shield prisoners whose lives are in danger with your righteous right hand. Protect them from the arrows of the enemy and lead them to your presence. In Jesus' name, I believe and pray. Amen.

Dear God, I am sorry for taking my freedom for granted. Lord, bad influence from friends and family has made some people end up in prison. They are scared and fearful. Lord, remove fear from their hearts and fill it with your peace that surpasses all understanding. May they come to know you the creator of heaven and earth that they may not become hardened by prison life but may start worshiping you in spirit and truth. In Jesus' name, I pray. Amen.

Dear Jesus, because of your unconditional love we who were once prisoners to the devil are now free. But Lord, there are people in this world, especially those who are in prison that do not know about your unconditional love. Jesus, send the right people to preach to them the true gospel that they may know how much you love them and embrace that love so that they can experience true freedom even when they are still behind bars. I thank you, and I honor you highly for you are the King of kings and the Lord of lords. Amen.

Awesome God, creator of heaven and earth I come before you today to worship and bless your holy name. You are from everlasting to everlasting, and there is none like you, my Father and King. Thank you, Father, for making it possible for us to find our true identity in Christ and not in ourselves. Lord, I pray for people in prison that are struggling with their identity. Help them to know that their true identity is in Christ and not in what they have done. May they find freedom in Jesus and live a life that is pleasing unto you. In Jesus' name, I pray. Amen.

Most Precious Lord Jesus, Gentle And Wonderful God, Truly Awesome And Ever-present Holy Spirit,
I know you are with me Lord.
I can sense your love when I am alone or when I am with others.
Your Spirit falls heavily on me when I am in my prayer time or when I am doing nothing at all.
Keep me from being selfish and sinful.
Keep me from letting my pain, suffering, and problems interfere with my ability to walk and talk with you.
When I am tempted to turn away from you, move me back to your side.
When the attractions of the world scream at me to forget about you, move me to be humble, kind, caring, and loving with others.
When I feel imprisoned, show me the way to freedom is through you.
Show me true freedom comes about only when I surrender all I have up to you.
Show me true freedom comes to me only when I fall at the foot of your cross in humble service and in contrite spirit.
When I want to go my own way, show me your way.
When I want to walk my own path, show me your path.
All these things I humbly pray in the name of my most Blessed Lord Jesus Christ, my Mighty God, and my Ever-present Holy Spirit upon whom I can rely.
Amen

I need you God.
I know that I will have much time to seek you as I serve my sentence.
I will seek you Lord.
I take my bible, I will sing your praise and I will remember your promises.
You have already forgiven me, for you have laid down your life so that mine might be saved.
Now in the hardship of prison, I will seek life, I will look for you in the darkness because you are always a bright light.
I will look for the gifts in this experience, and trust that you will keep me, nurture me and change me.
Thank you that you walk with me always.

Amen.

Lord grant your mercy to free me from the things that have me bound. Lord I ask you to set me free from everything that has attached itself to me to cause me to be bound, both spiritually and physically.

Lord I ask you to create in me a clean heart and renew a right spirit within me. As I walk out of those bars of confinement, let me never enter them again as an accused/guilty person. Wash me clean and make me whole. Help me to renew my mind to think like a free man. Help me to forget all the horrors I saw with my eyes and heard with my ears. Cleanse me of the filthiness of my surroundings. I thank you for the liberty in Christ Jesus. I thank you for receiving the gift of the Holy Ghost. Thank you for preserving my life to bring glory to your name. As I seek your face, satisfy my longings in your righteousness. Thank you in advance for a saved wife that you have prepared for me. Thank you for my children that aren't born yet. Thank you that I might be a man to bring glory to your name and upbuild the kingdom. In Jesus name, Amen.

Oh, Jesus,

Your humility surprises me.

You understand loneliness and rejection.
You were a refugee.
You were misunderstood, misrepresented, hated, and tortured.
You were wrongly accused in a court of law.
You were a prisoner.
You were executed without having a fair trial.
You died.

Oh, the depths that you undertook
to feel the depths of human pain
and human separation from your love and forgiveness.

What kind of love makes God willingly become
its creation--
especially a creation condemned and shamed,
who will lose his human rights and experience human death?

You were willing to die
for everyone who has ever done an evil thing.
You cover sins so numerous and so hideous,
so inexcusable
yet somehow, forgivable.

A willing prisoner,
a willing death,
to free me from the prison of myself.

Amen.
