Prayer For Freedom From Addiction
O Lord, I trust that you understand me. You have carried me in the hardest times. Only you have seen each despairing moment and only you have walked beside me. Now I ask that you, with your gentle, healing hands would lead me away from my drug addiction. Cover my mind and body as I face the withdrawal and fill my heart with songs of hope. Help me to see what you can already see. Me, cleansed of all the upset and brokenness, free to live and love, restored and redeemed. Amen.
O blessed Lord, you ministered to all who came to you: Look with compassion upon all who through addiction have lost their health and freedom. Restore to them the assurance of your unfailing mercy; remove from them the fears that beset them; strengthen them in the work of their recovery; and to those who care for them, give patient understanding and persevering love. Amen.
Dear Father, Please meet me in my loneliness, help me to have the confidence to speak with someone about my addiction. I trust that you can lead me out of this prison, that you can heal my mind and body. I long to be free, yet I still feel so trapped by my thoughts and fears. Cover me with your love and grace, until, with your help Lord, I can walk in freedom, break out and fully live again. Amen.

We are captive and need Your healing touch.
Free us, Lord, from our addictions,
so that we will be:
...free from the cares and worries that stifle our happiness;
...free from sins that cling to us, and to which we cling;
...free from all compulsive behavior
that prevents us from becoming what You, Lord,
have planned for us.
Bring us, loving Savior,
to the experience of abundant life
which You promised.

Dear God, I confess that I have been addicted to _________. I repent of this addiction and ask you to forgive me and help me to begin again. I confess that I have been in bondage to __________, and I renounce all involvement with it. I also renounce the devil's lies, and I reset my mind to believe the truth. I ask, by the blood of Jesus Christ and the power of your Holy Spirit, that You set me free. Thank You for loving me, forgiving me and setting me free. In Jesus' Name, amen.

Dear Lord, thank you for your love, for it is eternal. Save me from trackless deserts of drug addiction, and please replace my desire for drugs with your love. Purify my body with the blood of Jesus and heal me from the evil effects of drugs. Break the chains of addiction in pieces and bring me out of my gloom and darkness. Heal me with your command and save me from the grave. Bring me to safety, and I will thank you, heavenly Father, among the nations.
O Lord, you are my king, I sing in your honor and proclaim your constant love towards us. Lord, I surrender every person that is struggling with addiction into your hands. Heal them Father and help them to walk in freedom. Set them free from the evil chains of addictions. Don't abandon them in their distress Lord, be their hiding place. Remove the evil desire of using drugs from their minds and heart. May they find fulfillment in you and not in drugs. In Jesus' name, I pray. Amen.
