Prayer For Family Conflict
Oh God, thank you for your word because it is a lamp unto my feet and a light unto our path. Your word says that we do not war against flesh and blood but principalities, powers and the rulers of darkness. We come before you as a family today because we know it is the enemy who has been behind the strife that we've been experiencing in this house. The enemy is not happy with the progress that we are making as a family. Even though we've fallen into the enemy's traps several times, we are rising again in the power of the Holy Ghost. We declare and decree that conflict is not our portion. Lord, help us to do things that will bring glory to your name. In Jesus' name, we believe and pray, Amen.
Heavenly Father, our hearts are troubled because of the heated exchanges that we have been having as a family. We have turned against each other instead of fighting for our family. Lord remove anger and strife from our midst for where there is strife there is every evil work. Shut every evil door that we have opened for the enemy to come into this family and control us. Still our hearts with your peace and help us to operate in the peace of Christ that surpasses all understanding. In Jesus' name, we believe and pray, Amen.
King of Glory, have mercy on my family. I repent on behalf of every family member for allowing conflict to come between us. Touch our hearts, remove painful memories and help us to be merciful to each other. Please help us to shun evil and to honor you with our relationships. Show us your great power that we may revere you and walk in your ways individually and as a family. In Jesus' name, we believe and pray, Amen.
Let every satanic factor leading to conflict in my family be dissolved by the fire of the Holy Spirit.
Now take these items one by one and pray aggressively as follows:
You . . ., (e.g. weakness, faults or problems) in my home, I root you out, I pull you down and I destroy you, in the name of Jesus.
You know, God, we are not a perfect family.
The stresses of our lives cause us to bring each other hurt and pain.
This is not the way we choose to live with each other.
Yet, all too often, it is how we are living.
We ask that you guide us in your Providence back to a better and more loving way.
Please help us to bury anger and return to the seed of our love.
Please help us to value each other as you value us.
Lord Jesus, you loved us while we were still sinners and you continue to shower us with your love even when we fail. We have lost track as a family because of pain and pride. We have hurt each other through our actions and words. Lord, let your love take control of our thoughts, actions, and words as we interact with each other. Please help us to value each other the same way you value us and give us the grace to treat each other right. In Jesus' name, I pray, Amen.
Dear God, in your infinite wisdom, you started the institution of marriage and family. I believe that my family is a gift from you and the first ministry that you have given to me. But, God, the enemy has waged war against my family. Peace has been replaced with conflict and manipulation. We used to love and respect each other, and now everyone is self-centered. Lord, I repent on behalf of everyone. All of us have wronged you and each other with our selfishness. Forgive us, give us patience so that we can resolve our differences in an amicable way. In Jesus' name, we pray, Amen.
