Prayer For Family Gathering
Father in Heaven,
We praise You for giving us Your Son
To be our Saviour and Lord.
Bless us all as we gather here today, (tonight)
And let us live happily in Your love.
Hear our prayer, loving Father,
For we ask this in Jesus' Name.

Father,
I am afraid that this may be the last year I see my kids and grandchildren at the family reunion. My health is really deteriorating and I feel You calling me home. Lord, I am ready to come home, but I am also not ready to leave yet. This is so hard, Father. I wish I could bring all of my family with me so they would not grieve when I am gone. Lord, I pray that at this possible last reunion that You will shine the brightest out of me than ever before. I have a legacy I'm leaving behind and I am proud of what You have done to grow our family. My kids love You! My grandchildren love You! I want to hug them all and love on them for one last reunion. So, if it be Your will, please get me to this last reunion healthy enough to love on my family. Blessed be Your name forever and ever. Amen
Oh Lord,
I am so excited for my family reunion coming up! I miss Uncle Charlie and Aunt Betty so much! I pray that we all have safe journeys to this years' family reunion. I can't wait for the music and playing bags with my cousins! The memories are so wonderful and each year seems to be better than the last. I don't take my family for granted and I think that's why my love grows for them so much. Fred's laugh is so contagious. I can't wait to hear it! Grandma's pies are the best! And grandpa's stories are so funny! I am so happy for this next reunion, Father. I pray in advance that You would bless it as we spend time together. I love You, Lord! Amen
O God, Heavenly Father, it was part of Thine eternal decree that Thine only-begotten Son, Jesus Christ, the Savior of the human race, should form a holy family with Mary, His blessed mother, and His foster father, Saint Joseph. In Nazareth, home life was sanctified, and a perfect example was given to every Christian family. Grant, we beseech Thee, that we may fully comprehend and faithfully imitate the virtues of the Holy Family so that we may be united with them one day in their heavenly glory. Through the same Christ our Lord. Amen.
Father God, Thank you so much for bringing us all here together today. Thank you for the wonderful blessing of family. Thank you for the similarities we have and the differences we enjoy. Thank you for the wisdom of age and the energy of youth. Thank you for the way you watch over us as individuals and the way you release your love into us as a unit. Come bless our time together. Amen.
Righteous God, we rejoice for You have enabled us to train up our children in the way that they should go so that even as they have aged, they have not departed from it. Thank You for this family reunion. We celebrate the fact that we have raised many generations that are in line with Your ways. Keep them close to You, even after we go our separate ways and return to our various areas, cover us with Your love and fill us with Your Spirit, Amen.
Dear Lord, I proclaim that my offspring shall be like the dust of the earth, and we shall spread abroad to the west and to the east and to the north and to the south, and in me and my offspring shall all the families of the earth be blessed! Father, You are with us and because of this our generations shall be blessed and covered by Your grace. Continue to turn Your countenance towards us, continue to be the voice that guides us as we celebrate this family reunion, Amen.
Dearest Heavenly Father, it is with the utmost happiness that we are here today, together, praying to you. We thank you for this time we were able to share together, as we cannot do it as often as we wish. One final thing we ask our you at this family reunion is to guide our family members safely on our trips back home, that you embrace us and keep us out of harm's way. We love you, Father, and thank you again for bringing us together to rejoice in you. Amen.
