Prayer For Families Scripture
Lord, You created the universe and hold the world in the palm of Your hands. You own the cattle on a thousand hills. Your riches far exceed anything I could ever imagine! By Your glorious riches, would You strengthen me by Your Spirit? Without the empowering of Your Spirit, I flounder in my own strength and grow weary.
I desire to abide in Christ and for Christ to be at home in me. May I be rooted and grounded in Your love. May it be the very foundation upon which my life is built. Your love is beyond my human understanding. May I have the strength to comprehend the incredible vastness, the breadth and length, the height and depth of Your love.
Knowing Your love eliminates fear. When I am secure in my relationship with You, I'm able to love others more freely. I want to grow in love, not just for my own benefit, but also for the encouragement and edification of the Body of Christ as a whole.
Fill me by Your Spirit to overflowing so that out of the abundance of my heart my mouth speaks Truth and praises You. Be glorified in me.
Father, may each of us grow in love love for You and love for others. May we know You more and become more discerning, able to walk in wisdom and to know what is good and right and true. Help us to live according to Your Word, as Your ambassadors, pursuing holiness, and bearing the fruit of Your Spirit. This is not possible apart from Jesus Christ. Thank You for His redeeming power! Now may our lives bring glory and praise to You, drawing others to a deeper love and knowledge of Christ.
Pray that every member of your family would love the Lord and find salvation. You shall love the LORD your God with all your heart and with all your soul and all your mind and all your strength. Deuteronomy 6:5, Mark 12:30
Pray that your family would always be submitted to God, that God would be its chief builder and protector. Unless the LORD builds the house, its builders labor in vain. Unless the LORD watches over the city, the watchmen stand guard in vain. Psalm 127:1
Lord we thank you for your protection and favor. As we sit in your presence and focus our hearts on you may you give us your perfect peace. May we trust that no matter what, you will guide us, protect us and be gracious toward us.
Thank you Lord that you are always watching over us. How amazing that you are rejoicing over us with singing right now. You are the mighty warrior who saves. May we rest in your love this day.
Father, we humble ourselves before you knowing you are the true source of blessing, protection, and peace. We ask for your favor and blessing upon our family.
Lord, we desire to please you and bring a smile upon your face. Father, thank you for your graciousness and mercy upon us. We ask for it each and every day!
You are always our ultimate blessing and we pray that you continue to pour yourself upon our family. In Jesus' Name, Amen.
Father, help my family and I to take heart in you today! Our eyes see trouble around us and we're tempted to focus on our concerns but help us to turn and take heart instead as you have said.
Pour your peace upon our home and over our family so that whatever trouble we face, we walk with the confidence that you have OVERCOME it. Lord, let us and our home be a beacon of peace so others desire to know where our peace comes from. May we rest in your peace today, Father. In Jesus' Name, Amen.
