Prayer For Eternal Life

Father, thank You for giving me the promise of eternal life. You gave me Jesus, and I'm so grateful for His work. I praise You for giving me eternal life in Jesus name, amen.

Heavenly Father,

We praise your great name. We bless you for your strength, your mighty acts, your unconditional love and for your incredible gift of eternal life to us through your Son Jesus Christ. We honor you Lord and we thank you that Jesus Christ got up from the grave through your mighty power, He took the keys of death, hell and the grave and making it possible for us to have a life of freedom in you.

Lord you made the way for us. Your blueprint plan for our salvation can never be altered, nor can it be stopped by the hands of man in their attempt to set up roadblocks for us your children. Lord we confess our need for you and acknowledge that without you, we can do nothing.

We celebrate, honor and praise you as our Redeemer, Savior, Lord, Deliverer, Sustainer, Way-Maker, Promise-Keeper, Light in our Darkness and our Friend who sticks closer than a brother or sister. May we never take your love for granted nor may we ever frustrate your grace.

Keep us rooted and grounded in your word. Let your word permeate our heart and spirit and be used as the compass that will guide us through this journey of life each and every day. We thank you for your divine protection against every plan of the enemy to steal, kill, destroy, divide and conquer. Cover us under your blood. May your plans for our lives through Christ be fulfilled at the appointed time.

Thank you for your ever abiding presence in our midst. Let your river of grace and your healing virtues flow through us. Wherever there are streams flowing, let your river of peace, happiness, joy and good success now begin to rise to overflowing. Where there is darkness and a state of chaos and confusion, Lord we ask right now that the light that comes as a result of the resurrection power of Jesus Christ begin to shine through.

Thank you Lord for the resurrection gift of eternal life. To you be all the glory, honor and praise, in Jesus name. Amen

You are my solace, St. Jude, in the face of
loss and sorrow. I pray that you will guide
my heart away from the darkness and
fear and into the light of Christ. May
the hope that St. Jude keeps alive in my
heart be a source of comfort to all those
who grieve. For in that hope, we know
God's tender mercy, and we trust God's
promise of eternal life. My soul longs for
the fullness of life, which will be revealed
to me when I am at God's right hand in
heaven. Stay by my side, St. Jude, so that
my soul will always know the power of
your healing love. Amen.

Dear Lord Jesus, meditating on this passage this morning is like revisiting an old friend. I memorized this verse over forty years ago, yet I feel like I'm still very much a neophyte in grasping the wonder and implications of eternal life. As you first uttered these words in a prayer for your disciples, I find great joy in knowing that you continue to pray them for usfor me.
How I praise you that eternal life is so much more than simply living forever in your presence, though I so look forward to that. It's about knowing God, in the most intimate sense imaginable, knowing the LORD as my Father and knowing you, the sent one, as the Messiah and Savior, our righteousness and holiness, our faithful Advocate and heavenly bridegroom.
It's not merely knowing about you, though there is so much more I do want to know about you; rather it's a life knowing you better and better and better; and the power of your resurrection and the fellowship of sharing in your sufferings (Phil. 3:10) Even more profoundly, it's a life of being known by you (Gal. 4:9) with no fear of rejection or shame; no need to pose or pretend, no inclination to hide or run, no standing back, just a rich standing in grace.
Holy Spirit, I cannot know the Father and Son apart from your work. Keep gossiping the gospel to my heart. Keep me hungry for the knowledge of God. Don't let lesser breads satisfy this craving. Don't let lesser waters slake this eternal thirst. Don't let me confuse information with intimacy.
Keep revealing more and more of Jesus to me. Humble me with his glory. Astonish me with his beauty. Mesmerize me with his mercy. Buckle my knees with his affections. Change me by his grace. Empower me with his victory. Free me for the advancement of his kingdom; for indeed, the people who know their God shall stand firm and take action (Dan. 11:32). So very Amen I pray in Jesus' all-consuming name.

Lord of Heaven,

Help us to surrender our souls into Your hands. We ask for courage and peace to know that our eternal future rests with You. For You have promised that God so loved the world that He gave His one and only Son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish but have eternal life. (John 3:16) May we look upon our deaths as the gift of eternal life. Keep us from walking in fear as we walk through the valley of the shadow of death. (Psalm 23:4) Give us faith to believe that death has no victory over us, death has no sting. (1 Corinthians 15:54-58)

Help us not be worried about times and dates, knowing very well that the day of the Lord will indeed come like a thief in the night. May we simply be prepared for what lies ahead by being self controlled and alert. (1 Thessalonians 5:1-11) May we keep watch, as Jesus warned, believing that the Son of Man will come at an hour when we do not expect him. No one knows about that day or hour, not even the angels in heaven, nor the Son, but only the Father. Therefore may we always keep watch and be ready. (Matthew 24:36-44)

Even though we can not know the exact time or events that lay in our future, may we be assured that Your promises for our futures are incredible. May we believe that no eye has seen, nor ear heard, nor mind conceived what You, O God have prepared for those who love You. (1 Corinthians 2:9) May we know that You, Our Redeemer lives, and that in the end You will stand upon the earth. And after our skin has been destroyed, yet in our flesh we will see God; we ourselves will see You with our own eyes - us and not another. Oh that our hearts would yearn within us! (Job 19:25-27)

May we not let our hearts be troubled trusting that Jesus has gone to His Father's house to prepare a place for us. And if He has gone to prepare a place for us, He will come back and take us to be with Him that we also may be where He is. (John 14:4) Help us to trust that we who have followed the Father will have an inheritance, the kingdom prepared for us since the creation of the world. (Matthew 25:31-46) May we rest in the promise that You will wipe every tear from our eyes, that there will be no more mourning or crying or pain. (Revelation 21:4) You are the bread of life, the bread that comes down from heaven, which a man may eat and not die. Because of You, we will live forever. (John 6:43-51)

Gracious and loving heavenly Father, I come to you in prayer knowing that my sin makes me not worthy. I know that I deserve death because of my sin, but that you offer forgiveness. I ask you to forgive me and to fill me with the Holy Spirit. I accept the gift of eternal life through Christ Jesus, who was sacrificed for my sin. Amen.

"Dear God, I need you and want to know you.I believe that Jesus is the Son of God, and that
