Prayer For Construction Workers

Lord, I ask that You please be with the construction workers wherever
they are, whether they be near of far,

I ask that You please shelter them as they do their own work if You don't
mind,

Please protect them from all types of harm as well as anything else that's
not of You,

Please hold their hand as they build the guard rails, the houses, and any
other masterpiece that's made by You,

Please protect those who have the rule over them from anything that's not
of You in the name of Love!

Dear Saint Thomas, you were once slow in believing that Christ had gloriously risen; but later, because you had seen him, you exclaimed: My Lord and my God! According to an ancient story, you rendered most powerful assistance for constructing a church in a place where pagan priests opposed it. Please bless architects, builds and carpenters that through them the Lord may be honored. Amen.

Prayer to Saint Thomas the Apostle
O Glorious Saint Thomas, your grief for Jesus was such that it would not let you believe he had risen unless you actually saw him and touched his wounds. But your love for Jesus was equally great and it led you to give up your life for him. Pray for us that we may grieve for our sins which were the cause of Christ's sufferings. Help us to spend ourselves in his service and so earn the title of blessed which Jesus applied to those who would believe in him without seeing him. Amen.

God of Compassion, hear our prayer.
We pray for construction workers who build our homes and places of work
and worship.
God of Compassion, hear our prayer.
We pray for injured workers who are too often neglected.
God of Compassion, hear our prayer.
We pray for farmworkers and poultry workers who help provide us with our
food but who often work in dangerous conditions and struggle to provide
food for their own families.
God of Compassion, hear our prayer.
We pray that our legislators and elected officials act on the cries for justice in
our community.
God of Compassion, hear our prayer.
We pray that all owners and managers recognize the dignity of workers
and uphold the standards of our faith traditions by providing living wages,
affordable benefits and the freedom of association.
God of Compassion, hear our prayer.
God of Exodus, you went to your people in Egypt, saw their pain and set
them free free from the bondage of their oppressor. You walked with them
to freedom. Walk with all of us who struggle for dignity in the workplace,
for a living wage and for fair benefits. Bless all of us as we continue working
to bring forth your vision a vision of justice and peace, kindness and
compassion, grace and mercy.
AMEN.

Father, we thank You for Your faithful love for us that never ends and Your mercy which never ceases. They are new every morning; great is Your faithfulness. Lord, You are God. You created the heavens and earth and put everything in place. You made the world to be lived in, not to be a place of empty chaos. You are the Lord and there is no other. You publicly proclaim bold promises; You do not whisper obscurities in dark corners. We thank You for giving our leaders the vision to build. Thank You for providing the resources for us to build. Thank You, Father, for being a wall of fire and protection around our congregation, families and those involved in the construction of this new building.

Father, we command that Your Kingdom come and Your will be done on earth as it is in heaven for the construction of the (Name the facility) project. We believe that You will make our thoughts agreeable to Your will, so that the plans for this project may be established and succeed. Your Word, Father, declares that for lack of advice, plans go wrong; but with many advisers there is success. Therefore, we confess that we will seek the counsel of the godly as we proceed with this project. We declare that we will write the vision for this new project plainly so that those involved can run and carry the correct message to others. Father, we expect You to call forth competent and skilled laborers for this project, just as You called forth the artisans for the building of the tabernacle. We confess that they will be filled with the Spirit of wisdom, understanding and knowledge in all manner of workmanship. We proclaim that all involved in this project will focus their attention and efforts so that they can successfully complete their assignments and bring glory and honor to Your Name. Father, we are confident that the new facility will be completed, because You have begun this good work. Lord, I commit to praying without ceasing for this project.

Father, please bless this new building project to provide activities for our Church Family and the families in the community that will promote growth, development, relaxation and enjoyment. Please provide all of the wisdom, finances, and resources that we will need to build a state-of-the-art facility. We ask You to provide adequate funding, competent professionals, and skilled laborers for the construction. Please give us favor with the surrounding communities and the nation. Father, stir up the faith in me so that I will walk by faith and not by sight and give to this vision.

Father, please forgive us for questioning the vision You have given to our Pastor, and for not submitting to his/her authority. Forgive us for having loose lips and speaking idle words against this project. Forgive us Lord for not coming together as a church body, concerning the building project. Please forgive us for all of our sins. Father, remind us of those we need to forgive and we will be quick to forgive.

As a Church Family, please do not lead us to temptation; but deliver us from evil.

Yours, O Lord, is the greatness, the power and the glory, the victory and the majesty. Everything in the heavens and on earth is Yours and this is Your Kingdom. We adore You as the One who is over all things. In Jesus' Name, Amen.

My Heavenly Father,
As I enter this work place, I bring your presence with me. I speak your peace, your grace, your mercy and your perfect order into this office. (Jobsite etc.)I acknowledge your power over all that will be spoken, thought, decided, and done within these walls. Lord, I thank you for the gifts you have blessed me with. I commit to using them responsibly in your honor. Give me a fresh supply of strength to do my job. Anoint my projects, ideas, and energy so that even my smallest accomplishment may bring you glory. Lord, when I am confused guide me, when I am weary, energize me. When I am burned out, infuse me with the light of the Holy Spirit. May the work that I do and the way I do it bring faith, joy and a smile to all that I come in contact with today. And Lord, when I leave this place, give me traveling mercy. Bless my family and home to be in order as I left it. Lord, I thank you for everything you've done, everything you're doing and everything you are going to do. In the name of Jesus pray with much love and Thanksgiving.

Divine Builder-

As we look at our homes, workplaces, and places of worship, we give gratitude for the ones who have placed brick upon brick. Engineers, architects, designers, and project managers brought forth dreams on paper. Construction workers and contractors work to make these visions into reality.

From crafting the frame of our buildings to plastering walls, their weathered hands and perspired foreheads show their dedication to their profession. Through their expertise, structures stand on solid foundation. Through their experience, roofs protect from nature's wrath.

With gratefulness, we celebrate their calling.

Keep them safe as they continue to build towards the sky. May they feel your peace as their work reaches for the clouds.

Amen.

Our Father who art in Heaven, hallowed be thy name.

Father, bless your children so that they may be safe,

Protect them from the evils of rushing, complacency, pride, deceit, and distraction.

Give them the vision to see the dangers before them, and the skills to avoid them.

Oh Heavenly Father, send your angels to protect your children so that they may go home safely.

Grant us the ambition to work hard, and give us the strength to finish what we have started.

May our hands always be prepared to lighten another?'s load, and may our hearts do so willingly.

May we glorify your name in all that we do, may you be glorified in our works, and may we place your will above ours, for without you, we are nothing.

Amen
