Prayer For Consolation
Mighty God, thank you that you are my creator, you know me better than anyone else. You know the pain and grief I feel at this time. You have promised that you will make all things work together for my good. Please provide comfort for me and use this difficult time to develop my character. You are the God of peace. May you sanctify me completely, and may my whole spirit and soul and body be kept blameless at the coming of the Lord, Jesus Christ. You, who called me, are faithful to the end. Faithful Father, thank you that you are perfectly faithful; you never forget, never fail and never take back a promise. You have promised that you will respond to the prayer of the needy. Show compassion to me in my time of need Lord and comfort my heart as I mourn my loved one. Let me be filled with your Holy Spirit. You are the God of hope. Fill me with all joy and peace in believing, so that by the power of the Holy Spirit I may abound in hope. Through Jesus Christ, our Lord. Amen.
Lord, Jesus Christ, my Savior and redeemer, you willingly gave yourself up to death, so that all might be saved and pass from death to life. By dying you unlocked the gates of life for all those who believe in you. In my grief and shock, may I be comforted and embraced by your loving arms. I place my hope in your eternal life. Give me hope in my confusion and grace to live my life in thanksgiving to you. I look to your love and mercy to sustain me in my time of need. In your powerful name, Amen.
Gracious God, only source of life and health: Help, comfort, and relieve me, and give your power of healing to those who minister to my needs; that my weakness may be turned to strength and confidence in your loving care; for the sake of Jesus Christ.

I am sick and tired of being sick and tired. I reach forward today, touch the hem of Your garment, and receive my healing. Yes, I want to get well. Give me the faith to walk in freedom and victory.

I am yours, and you are mine. I know I am broken, please comfort me with your love. Gather up the little fragments of hope I have lost and keep them safe for me. Hold me close and tight, breathe into me your beauty through creation. Come whisper over me your words of reassurance and strength. I am yours, and you are mine. I know I am weak, please renew me with your restoration power. Come fill my heart and mind with the promise of eternity and bring me slowly back to life. Father, you are my rock, my hiding place, my shelter from the storm. In you I wait, in you I am safe. Amen.
Father in heaven,
Even though my heart is heavy with grief, I want to praise Your holy name. You are an awesome God. You spoke and the world was created. I give You all glory and honor for who You are. I worship You alone.
I thank You that you know my pain and sorrow. Your Word says as a mother comforts her child, You comfort us. I ask that You be my comfort today. Help me to sense Your presence and Your peace.
Help me to reach out and comfort others as You Father, have comforted me.
