Prayer For A Veteran
Heavenly Father who sees all of the hurt, comfort the hearts of those who have lost loved ones in the military. It might seem to us unfair, but You are the God who ordains our days. Let us remember those families are still grieving today. Remind them of Your love for them. Their loss provides for us a safe place to live and worship You. Keep those families close to Your heart today. Comfort them and let them know we do not forget their loved one's sacrifice. Amen.
Father, we remember the families of the many veterans who have paid the ultimate sacrifice with their lives, in the defence of their home and country and also for those veterans who have been seriously wounded or have sustained permanent injuries, that have left them disabled and unable to continue their military career.
We ask that You would be mindful of the needs of the families and loved ones of those that have died in the call of duty, and also for those who have lost their career due having become disabled or injured during the course of their military career.
We pray that You would show grace and mercy on each one and that You would supply them with all that they need to face an uncertain future. Draw each one into Your arms of love. Convict those who do not know You as their Saviour of their need of salvation, and grant all those that are Your children the perfect peace that only comes from You. In Jesus' name we pray,
Heavenly Lord, I bring before You the men and women who have been called to serve our country in the armed forces, on land, sea and in the air, and who have spent much of their lives participating in the protection of our shores and land, from the enemy that would seek to do us harm. Thank You, for the selfless way that so many have been used to maintain our freedoms through their courageous acts, both at home and abroad.
Thank You for each one. Bless them abundantly, and I pray that You would be their strength and stay, and that You would graciously supply them with all they need to continue to serve our country in a retired capacity.
And Lord, for veterans and those in the armed forces that do not yet know You as their Saviour, I do pray that You would draw near to each one and make Yourself known, so that they may come to trust in Jesus as Saviour and come to be a soldier in the army of the King of kings and Lord of lords, in Whose name I pray,
Heavenly Father, thank You for the men and women who have served our country in one or other of our armed forces and I particularly bring before You today those who have fallen sick, been injured or have suffered some long-term health or emotional problem, through the traumas that they have had to experience while serving abroad.
Father, I know that You alone are the one that can heal the heart as well as the body. Only You can cure the inner pain as well as ease the other injuries, and I lift each one up to You and pray that in Your grace and mercy You would meet them at their point of need.
For those that know You as their Saviour, I pray that You would strengthen them in the inner man and give them the peace of God in their hearts that passes understanding. For those that are unsaved, Lord I pray that they may come to a saving knowledge of the Lord Jesus Christ and accept Him as their Saviour and that in Your grace You would minister to each and every need as You see fit. I ask this in the name of Jesus,
Lord, We lift up prayer for those who lead and direct our soldiers. May their daily decisions bring powerful protection and abundant provision to our men and women in uniform. Amen.
O God, by whose mercy the faithful departed find rest, look kindly on your departed veterans who gave their lives in the service of their country. Grant that through the passion, death, and resurrection of your Son they may share in the joy of your heavenly kingdom and rejoice in you with your saints forever. We ask this through Christ our Lord.
We must remember those who fought the battle and have lost their lives for our freedom. Prayers for veterans will provide comfort to their souls as they cross over to the heavenly kingdom and rejoice with their creator Jesus Christ. No matter how long it's been, it's important that we communicate with those lost veterans through prayer and share with them our many thanks for their sacrifices that will never be repaid. Through our prayers for veterans, the average person here on earth has the ability to reach out and connect with those who've lost their lives and our now guardian angels from above.
Dear Lord, Today we honor our veterans, worthy men and women who gave their best when they were called upon to serve and protect their country. We pray that you will bless them, Lord, for their unselfish service; bless them abundantly for the hardships they faced, for the sacrifices they made.
We respect them, we thank them, we honor them, we are proud of them, and we pray that you will watch over these special people and bless them with peace and happiness. In Jesus' name we pray for Peace in this beautiful world. Amen.
Praying for veterans is important, and not only praying for the individuals we know, but also for those we don't know. Resonating with faith means more than centering Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior instead it also means identifying yourself with the Christian community. As you pray for veterans, know that these Christian men and women protected their country which you also identify as yours. Their selflessness displays an undying amount of fortitude and determination that cannot be explained. Veterans pledge their allegiance in hopes of attaining peace on earth and while you're not on the front lines with them, know that your prayers fuel their soul.
Today we honor our veterans, worthy men and women who gave their best when they were called upon to serve and protect their country.
We pray that you will bless them for their unselfish service in the continual struggle to preserve our freedoms, our safety, and our country's heritage, for all of us.
Bless them abundantly for the hardships they faced, for the sacrifices they made for their many different contributions to America's victories over tyranny and oppression.
