Scripture Reading
Psalm 143:1-2
Hear my prayer, O Lord; give ear to my pleas for mercy! In your faithfulness answer me, in your righteousness! Enter not into judgment with your servant, for no one living is righteous before you.
Reflection
Psalm 143 is the last of the seven traditional Penitential Psalms, and it captures the soul near the end of a long Lenten journey: honest about unworthiness, yet still crying out, still asking, still trusting in God's faithfulness and righteousness rather than its own. The appeal is entirely to who God is. This is mature prayer: not a bargain, just a cry directed at a faithful God.
Prayer for Today
Sweetheart, I pray that the Great Architecture of life will mould your life and make it as beautiful as a morning star. I love you.
Amen.
