Prayer For Time
Lord Jesus Christ, our true physician and healer, be merciful to us and bring us your aid in these troubled times. Heal all our sickness and every affliction of your people.
Drive out our infirmities of soul and body; free us from all disease and especially from this pestilence.
We place in your gentle Heart the elderly, the frail, people with disability, children, young people and families, our indigenous peoples, those who are poor, lonely and isolated. As you walk with us, free them from fear, and give them patience and hope together with our loving care.
In your mercy deal also with the causes of our pitiful condition, that in curing our lack of faith and spiritual weakness, you may also remedy our bodily ills.
We place our trust in you, the risen Lord, who lives and reigns for ever and ever. Amen.
Lord, in every need let me come to You with humble trust saying, "Jesus, help me."
In all my doubts, perplexities, and temptations, Jesus, help me.
In hours of loneliness, weariness, and trials, Jesus, help me.
In the failure of my plans and hopes; in disappointments, troubles, and sorrows, Jesus, help me.
When others fail me and Your grace alone can assist me, help me.
When I throw myself on Your tender love as a father and savior, Jesus, help me.
When my heart is cast down by failure at seeing no good come from my efforts, Jesus, help me.
When I feel impatient and my cross irritates me, Jesus, help me.
When I am ill and my head and hands cannot work and I am lonely, Jesus, help me.
Always, always, in spite of weakness, falls, and shortcomings of every kind, Jesus, help me and never forsake me.
Amen.
We awaken in our time to a Universe which is holy,
to creation which is not an event in the past, but a living event of the present.
We enter a new mode of human presence where we are not merely observers,
but where each of us is a participant in this moment of evolution.
Like all other creatures, we carry with us Wisdom and Values, the dynamics of the Universe.
But unlike other creatures, we must choose whether and how we will live in harmony
within this sacred web of creation.
May we be open to the Source of All Being, Our God within and among us!
We have the capacity to wonder,
and to celebrate this great mystery of existence within such a magnificent Universe!
In us the Universe enters into a great celebration of itself.
We are part of the Dance, the Great Work, the Great liturgy which is the Universe unfolding.
Glory to You, O God, Source of All Being!
This great Liturgy finds expression at this moment in us,
gathered here in a posture of prayerful openness, with listening hearts, loving spirits and a holy wonder.
May the sacred web that unites us with each other, our God and all creation,
ignite communities of light and hope throughout the Earth.
May we be open to the Source of All Being, Our God within and among us!
Together We Pray:
O Gracious, gentle Spirit of Love,
Your energy permeates the Universe,
Igniting Earth with
Your Goodness, Truth and Beauty.
Open our minds and hearts
To a deeper awareness
Of our interconnectedness with You,
Each other and all creation.
May we experience
Your unique presence
Within the sacred web of creation.
God of Love,
You are with us in every transition and change.
As we enter into this new era with excitement and even some anxiety,
we recall your deep compassion, presence, and abounding love.
We thank you for the gifts, talents and skills with which you have blessed us.
We thank you for the experiences that have brought us to this moment.
We thank you for the work of others that gives breadth and depth to our own work.
Be with us as we move forward, rejoicing with you and supporting one another.
We ask this in your Holy Name.
Dear Heavenly Father, thank you for giving me Your Word. Thank You for the privilege of opening it and reading it today. I admit to You that I am in a hurry. I am busy and distracted. So please slow me down. Help me focus. Keep distractions away. Help me listen to things in Your Word that I need to hear. Use Your Word to point out areas of sin that I need to confess. Open my eyes to blind spots that I keep missing. Show me where I am off track. Open my eyes to a biblical perspective of where I am and where I should be. Instruct me regarding business interactions. Help me understand and apply Your instructions. Guide me regarding my relationships. I desire to be a godly parent. Open my eyes to Your Word that will help me raise my children according to Your ways. Lord, I desire to know You more fully and deeply. Speak to me in a new and fresh way through Your Word. Father, please open my eyes to see the wonderful truths You have for me. In Jesus' name. Amen.
Dear Lord, when our life on earth is done, may we stand before you and hear the words, Well done, my good and faithful servant. Father, we know our time on earth is but a few words in the cosmic story. Help us to use our time wisely, and leave our mark when our time is done. In Jesus' name we pray, Amen.
Lord, guide me daily, that I don't spend my time on social media but rather on achieving the goals you have set out for me. May I seek after your truth and your path for my life.
May I prepare myself daily to conquer the enemy and reach for my goals. Help me Lord to make the very best use of my time, because these days are evil.
May I not be distracted by television, music, and other forms of entertainment. Rather, may I use them in moderation and good sense.Lord, help me to use my time wisely to accomplish the things you have designed me to
do.
May I use my time to do beneficial things for myself and for others. Make me a vessel of hope and good works, Lord.
Lord, I pray that You give me guidance that I may use my time to succeed in the different areas of my life: at home, at work and within the community.
Heavenly and Glorious Father, I praise and give glory to your name. You have blessed me each and every day. Your word is great and true. Yet Lord, I pray that I will be able to use my time wisely. Lord, so many times I'm too busy to take time to spend in Your Word and to spend proper time in prayer and communication with you. I pray that I will develop the discipline to always have you first in my life and in my day.
