Prayer For Sunday Service

Father, forgive me for long having a me first consumer mentality at church. Help me put others first and seek to use the spiritual gifts you have graciously entrusted to me to build up others (Ephesians 4:16; 1 Corinthians 14:12). Guide me in my interactions so others are blessed and you are glorified. Show me who to talk to, where to sit, and how to encourage others with Scripture. Help me be a channel of encouragement as we see the Day drawing near (Hebrews 10:2425).

Father, you know the multitude of sins I have committed in my life and even this past week. Help me hate my sin more and grow in grace as I contemplate what Christ has done to forgive me and free me from sin's death grip. Open the eyes of my heart to see the glorious hope we have in Christ, your love for all of the saints, and your power at work in us who believe (Ephesians 1:18-21). Cause my heart to burn within me as we celebrate the gospel in song, learn and apply the gospel through the preached Word, and see the gospel in baptism and communion.

Heavenly Father, this morningand all of historyis about you. Please help me worship you with an undistracted heart. You know how my mind wanders to my upcoming week, present worries, and thoughts of others and other things. Help me put those thoughts away and focus on you and your glory. Would your Spirit cause my heart, soul, mind, and strength to exalt your Holy Name in my singing, listening to Your Word, and interacting with your people.

Father God, I pray the following for our Sunday Church Service:

For the presence of God to literally fill the Church building.
Anoint the Man of God to teach, preach, heal, and perform signs and wonders in the name of thy dear son, Jesus Christ.
People come early to church (around 9:00AM) to do intercessory prayer.
Raise up prayer warriors, musicians, singers, teachers, preachers, evangelists, intercessors etc. in our church congregation.
Our Sunday Service is led by the Holy Spirit. He is the one in control.
People come early to church and help out in the proper functioning of the church.
Gifts of the Holy Spirit are manifested in our services.
People are healed of diseases, delivered from demonic oppression and filled with the power of the Holy Spirit during the service.
The spiritual eyes of my church members are opened so that they can better understand and discern what God has called them to do.
For the Holy Spirit to deal with the hearts of our church members including me and bring conviction leading to progress and maturity in our spiritual lives.
Father, I believe you have heard my request and granted the answers. In the mighty and powerful name of Jesus Christ I pray, amen.

Father, we come before You in Jesus' name with shouts of joy, we worship You with gladness that fills our hearts and with songs of joy before the Lord. Father, we declare today that the Lord is God and that we are Yours; we give You praise because we know that we are Your people and the sheep of Your pasture. Father, we enter Your gates with thanksgiving and Your courts with praise, we give thanks to You God and we praise Your name. Father, we Your people declare today that the Lord is good and His love endures forever. We praise You because Your faithfulness continues through all generations.

Heavenly Father, in this day we will give thanks to You Lord and we will call upon Your name; we will make known among the nations what You have done and we will proclaim that Your name is exalted. We will sing to You Lord for You have done glorious things and we will let it be known to all the world. Father, today we will shout aloud and sing for joy. We will declare that great is the holy one of Israel among us.

Father, as we come before You today in the name of Jesus, we declare that You are God and earnestly we will seek You. Father, it's our desire to see You in the sanctuary; to behold Your power and Your glory. Father, Your love is greater than life and our lips will glorify You. We will praise You as long as we live and in Your name we will lift up our hands. You have satisfied our souls as with the riches of foods and with singing lips our mouths will give You praise.

Dear God,

It's been a long week. We need you now more than ever. We ask that you would direct our hearts and minds towards you, and fill us with your Spirit, bringing refreshing, renewal, peace, and joy. You remind us in your word that you are faithful to carry our burdens. You tell us that you will renew our strength, and you promise to give us rest as we come to you.

Forgive us for the times we have worked so hard to be self-sufficient, forgetting our need for you, living independently of your Spirit. Forgive us for letting fear and worry control our minds and for allowing pride and selfishness to wreak havoc over our lives. Forgive us for not following your ways and for living distanced from your presence.

Thank you that your ways are far greater than our ways and your thoughts far deeper than our thoughts. Thank you that you had a plan to redeem. Thank you that you make all things new. Thank you that your face is towards the righteous, you are close to the brokenhearted, you hear our prayers, and know our hearts. Thank you for your daily, powerful presence in our lives, that we can be assured, no matter what we're facing, your heart is towards us, your eyes are over us, and your ears are open to our prayers. Thank you that you surround us with favor as with a shield, and we are safe in your care.

We give you praise and honor for your ways are righteous and true. We give you worship for you are holy and just. We will declare that your love stands firm forever, for your lovingkindness endures forever.Help us never to take for granted this huge gift of love you have offered on our behalf. Help us to be reminded of the cost of it all. Forgive us for being too busy or distracted by other things, for not fully recognizing what you've so freely given, and all that Christ has done for us. Help us to cease striving and to remember again that you alone are God. We choose to press in close to you today and to keep you first in our hearts and lives. May we walk in your wisdom and purposes, may we stay strong and true to you.

We pray for your protection over our lives, our families, and other believers. We ask for your hand to cover us and keep us distanced from the evil intent of the enemy that you would be a barrier over us and that we would find refuge in you. We pray that you would give us discernment and insight beyond our years to understand your will, hear your voice, and know your ways.

We ask that you would keep our footsteps firm on solid ground, helping us to be consistent and faithful. Give us supernatural endurance to stay the course, not swerving to the right or to the left, or being too easily distracted by other things that would seek to call us away from a close walk with you.

Shine your light in us, through us, and over us. May we make a difference in this world for your glory, so that your purposes would stand. Set you way before us. May all your plans succeed. May we reflect your peace and hope to a world that so desperately needs your presence and healing.

We praise you, and we bless you oh Lord. Thank you that you reign supreme and we are more than conquerors through the gift of Christ!

In the powerful Name of Jesus we pray,

Amen.
