Prayer For Self Discipline
Father, please forgive me for the times I have said and done things rashly. Please remind me to consider self-control as God-control. It's not trying to control myself with human effort. But rather it is depending on the Holy Spirit to guide my ways and choices.
Lord Jesus Christ, You defeated satan in his attempts to tempt you to flaunt Your power with a spirit of self control. And now I call upon Your blessed name. I ask You to bless me with this virtue, which is very much needed in most aspects of life.
I seek Your assistance and guidance. May Your Holy Spirit fill me with power, as I come in prayer and raise my supplications before You.
Dear Lord, help us to know ourselves. Teach us to recognize our weaknesses and work to walk in holiness. Let us repent, and follow you in all things. Thank you for your unendeding grace and mercy toward us when we need it most. Help us to trust you with our lives. In Jesus' Name, Amen.
Dear God, please give me your grace to adequately utilize my tongue. Let my words be seasoned with grace and bless other people. Also, let my speech motivate people to move closer to you. In Jesus Name, I Pray.

Dear God, please do not let me play with sin. Let me live holy and acceptable life before you so that I can qualify for your blessings. Please guide me to operate under the leadership of your Holy Spirit so that I can enjoy your goodness throughout the days of my life. For in the name of Jesus Christ I pray.

Good Lord, please teach me how to apply moderation to everything I do. Do not let me be carried away with worldly activities, but let me be disciplined and have self-control. Let me be efficient in serving you at all times so that you can be happy with me. For in the name of Jesus Christ I pray.

God of grace,
You make me softer, kinder, gentler, generous, forgiving and loving.
Yet at times I know these gifts wear thin. I feel impatience rising, I sense resentment brooding and revenge is on my lips.
So I pray today and all days for more of your Spirit. May the grace that you pour out open the door for a renewing of my mind, a restoration of my heart and a transformation of my soul.

Dear God,
Please help me to have more self-control. Train me Lord, like an athlete to be strong and determined. Feed me with your truth in the scriptures to make me healthy. May I exercise muscles of forgiveness, patience and peacemaking. Lord, increase my stamina to give out to those in need. And may I be freed from past hurts and confusions so that I can run free.
Come fill my life with your resurrection hope!

Father, I come to you today in need of self-discipline. My heart feels weak and my mind is disturbed. I come in need of your grace and power. Holy Spirit, come presence yourself in my life.
Where there are temptations help me to deliberately walk away from them.
Where there are distractions help me to stay focused and true to the things you have called me to.
Where there are obstacles before me, may your light shine a way through.
Lord, I ask that with your strength and love to guide me
I might live a simple and holy life.
