Prayer For Purity Of Mind
Heavenly Father, I am starting to have feelings for somebody who is already in a relationship. I am having thoughts and desires about this person that are unhealthy, unfair to them, and ultimately ungodly. Help me clear my mind of these thoughts, Jesus. These thoughts are harmful to me and harmful to the other person and their relationship. Help me take the steps I must take and the space I need to rid myself of this impurity. Amen.

Lord, my Shield, I think about sex a lot. People around me talk about it, I see it on TV, and it is just so normal in our culture today. Every day, it gets harder for me to not think about and desire sex for myself. I am worried that one of the main reasons I am looking for a relationship now is so that I can have sex. God, forgive me and give me the power to rid my mind of this sinfulness. Help me be faithful to You and faithful to the people around me. Amen.
Heavenly Father, I am having impure thoughts about another person. Forgive me. I know that it is bad and against Your will, but I don't know how to stop. God, help me remember that this other person is created in Your image, and I have no right to think such thoughts. Help me keep a pure mind and not falter. I pray that my thoughts may glorify You only. I'm sorry, Lord. Thank You for your forgiveness. Amen.

Wash away my sins, make me white as snow. Change me, Lord. My language, my way of life, my sinful ways, may they all be of You.
