Prayer For Prisoners International

Stretch out your hands in power
to break their chains.
Be merciful to the oppressor and the torturer,
and place a new heart within them.
Forgive all injustice in our lives,
and transform us to be
instruments of your peace,
for by your wounds we are healed. In Jesus Name. AMEN

Lord Jesus,
you experienced in person
torture and death
as a prisoner of conscience.
You were beaten and flogged
and sentenced to an agonizing death
though you had done no wrong.
Be now with prisoners of conscience
throughout the world.
Be with them in their fear and loneliness,
in the agony of physical and mental torture,
and in the face of execution and death. Amen

Lord, we pray for all those Christians who are held in prisons in so many countries around the world simply because they love You.

Father, we cry out against the injustice of their incarceration, held away from their families and, in so many cases, in appalling conditions.

We remember all the prisoners of faith in Pakistan, in North Korea, in Eritrea, in China, in Algeria, in Laos, in Iran Lord, in so many countries be with them all. Give them Your peace which passes understanding, restore and fortify their spirits. Use them as beacons of light in the dark places they find themselves so that they and others will come to learn more about You. Amen

Thank you for being with them as they endure solitude and the constant threat of harm to their minds and bodies.

We also pray for their families. Families who face so many hardships even though they are not in prison. Lord, we ask that you will continue to provide for them, that they will receive all that they need to survive and to resist the curses and hatred which surrounds them. Unite these families, Father, in their love of You and help us to remember them in our prayers. Amen

Lord, we especially pray for Alimujiang in China. Thank you that You are strong within him, that he gives You thanks that he is in prison and able to share the gospel and Your love in that dark place. We pray also for his wife, Gulinuer, and their children, that they will also remain strong whilst he is away from them and that they will also filled with Your Spirit as they go through this time of trial.
Amen

Father, help us to keep all prisoners of faith and their families in our thoughts and prayers. Build us up, as well, to be able to speak of Your presence in our lives, without worrying what other people think or may do to us.

In Your name, Lord,

Amen.

Father, You alone can convict these people of their crimes, and I pray for each one, knowing that You died to pay the full punishment for each of their sins. And Lord, although it is only right that men and women face the bitter consequences of their crimes, I pray that they will come to an understanding that in Christ their sins may be forgiven, and that each one will come to true repentance by trusting in the Lord Jesus as their Saviour.

I pray that You would send into the different prisons around the country and indeed the world, those who would minister to these prisoners in their need, and tell them of Christ and the wonderful forgiveness of sins that comes from Him alone. Have pity in each one I pray. In Jesus' name,

Amen.

Heavenly Father, I bring before You the many men and women who are incarcerated behind prison bars and been deprived of their freedoms, due to their many and various crimes.

Father, You alone know the heart of each one and the reason why they are imprisoned, and You alone are the One that can bring these men and women to repentance, and to a saving faith in the Lord Jesus Christ.

Amen
