Prayer For President Trump Today
Father, protect this president, we pray. We pray that you will surround this president and his family, along with all our leaders, with your protection and sustenance. May he be protected from evil acts and evil intentions, and may his family be protected from all evil and harm. Amen
O merciful God, we cry to Thee for pardon and for mercy.
We are an unbelieving and perverse generation.
We are disobedient, disloyal and ungrateful to Thee.
We have excluded Thee from our homes, our schools, our places of business.
We are no longer worthy to be called Thy children.
Merciful Father, spare America!
Forgive us!
Save us from the scourge we deserve.
Teach us Thy law, and move our wills to serve Thee today and everyday.
Merciful God, please spare America!
O Immaculate Heart of Mary,
Pray for us! Amen
Our Father, Lord of all creation, Father of our Lord Jesus Christ: We pray today with a sense of special urgency and responsibility. We come before you to pray for our new President, Barack Obama, and for all those in this new administration who now assume roles of such high responsibility.
We know that you and you alone are sovereign; that you rule over all, and that you alone are able to keep and defend us. We know that our times are in your hands, and that the king's heart is like channels of water in the hand of the Lord [Proverbs 21:1]. Our confidence is in you and in you alone. We come before you as a people who acknowledge our constant need for your provision, wisdom, and protection. Amen
God our Father, you know how we are all tempted daily and that we sin against you every day; we thank you that Christ has died for our past, present, and future sins. Holy Spirit please protect President Trump against the many temptations that come his way; make null the temptations of power and pride and help him to focus on you when he is struggling with decisions and responses. We pray spiritual protection over the president's marriage that he and his wife might continue to grow together in your love and remember the covenant promise they made to each other. Amen
Lord, please pour your grace over the people in this country. May the people President Trump governs learn to love each other more; may we listen to each other even when there are many differences. May we stand up for what is right and stand against what is wrong according to what you have made clear in Scripture. Give us bold spirits and tongues that proclaim grace and truth, spoken in love. We pray this same attitude for our president that he might ignore the impulse and temptation for harsh responses and choose compassionate ones instead. Amen
Dear Lord,
We thank you that no matter who is in office you are sovereign over all. We thank you for the system of leadership and governing we have in the United States, and we pray for wisdom in the upcoming primaries and elections. But we pray specifically today for our current president; we pray that President Trump would draw near to youthat he would seek you above all other things. We pray that you would be an undeniable presence in his life, and we pray for godly leadership over our country. Amen
May the gift of leadership awaken in you as a vocation of service towards others and for the good of others.
May you have good friends who mirror your blind spots, who offer you gentle rebuke and correction. May you hear their words in love, and may you have the wisdom to act accordingly.
May leadership be for you a true adventure of growth.
In your heart may there be a sanctuary for the stillness where the clarity of wisdom is born.
May integrity of soul set firmly in the path of love be your first ideal, the source that will guide your work.
So let it be. Amen.
May you have the grace and wisdom to act kindly,
learning to distinguish between what is personal and what is not.
May you be hospitable to criticism.
May you never put yourself at the center of things.
May you act not from arrogance but out of service.
May you work on yourself, building up and refining the ways of your mind, heart, and soul.
May those who work for you know you see and respect them.
When someone fails or disappoints you, may the graciousness with which you engage be a stairway to renewal and refinement.
May you treasure the gifts of the mind through reading and creative thinking.
May you know the wisdom of deep listening, the healing of wholesome words and encouragement, the decorum of held dignity.
May you speak with life words that build up rather than tear down and destroy, words that bring healing instead of pain, words that usher in peace and unity instead of discord and division. Amen
