Prayer For Peace Of Mind And Sleep
Amen. Dear God, as I lay me down to sleep, relax the tension of my body; calm the restlessness of my mind; still the thoughts which worry and perplex me. Help me to rest myself and all my problems in your strong and loving arms.
Pardon, O Lord, we beseech Thee for all we have done amiss in hasty
actions or speech. Warm our hearts with holy fellowships, that we may
be able to find nurture for our highest resolves and hope for their
reality. Help us to give words of encouragement, that a shipmate may
not despair. Lead us out of this night into a new day, when we can try
again. Amen.
As we retire to our beds for rest unto our bodies, we turn to Thee for
rest unto our souls. We are not tired by labor, but restless with anxiety
and uncertainty. May the calm of Thy spirit smooth the rough seas of
our lives and give us refuge from all the crosscurrents and winds, which
we encounter in the new day. Amen.
Heavenly Father, please hold these I love as they sleep. Bless them with peace that surpasses understanding, sow in them hope that can not be put out, grow in them dreams and visions for their future and protect them with your unconditional love. Amen.
Father, we thank thee for the night, and for the pleasant morning light. For peace and food and loving care, and all that makes the day so fair. Help us to do the things we should, to be to others kind and good. In all we do, in work or play, to grow more loving every day. Amen
Kind Father,
We thank you that your steadfast love never ceases and that your mercies are new every morning. Today, we ask for a fresh outpouring of your mercy, and may we begin to understand the depths of your love. May we remember that you have lavished your great love on us, so that we should be called the children of God. As we walk through these turbulent times, let us walk as your children. Let us walk by faith in you and not by sight. As we walk through the depths of this valley, may we see you in the heights of your glory.
Lord, we pray that you would calm the storm that is brewing all around. We also ask that joy would come in the morning after the heaviness of this night.
We ask this humbly in the name of Jesus,

And make our dreaming sweet.
You are the safest place
You are the God of Grace
Forgiven, loved and held by you
Is each small seed of faith.
You know our thoughts and feelings
You see our deep desires
You understand our weariness
And catch each tear we cry.
You walk beside us every day
You are a constant friend
You stay with us all through the night
On you we can depend.

Father,
Thank you for holding me together today. I needed you, and you were there for me. Thank you for every bit of love, mercy, and grace that was shown to me though I did not deserve it. Thank you for your faithfulness even in my suffering. To you alone be the glory.
