Prayer For Peace Of Mind At Work
Help us, O Lord, to finish the good work here begun. Strengthen our efforts to blot out ignorance and prejudice, and to abolish poverty and crime. And hasten the day when all our people, with many voices in one united chorus, will glorify your holy Name. Amen.
Almighty God, you have so linked our lives one with another that all we do affects, for good or ill, all other lives: So guide us in the work we do, that we may do it not for self alone, but for the common good; and, as we seek a proper return for our own labor, make us mindful of the rightful aspirations of other workers, and arouse our concern for those who are out of work; through Jesus Christ our Lord, who lives and reigns with you and the Holy Spirit, one God, for ever and ever. Amen.
O God, it is by your gift that evening follows day and that rest restores us after labor, while we rejoice to receive these blessings, make us mindful that they come from your gracious hand. Amen
Dear Jesus, we bring these prayers to you in full knowledge of the limitations
of our understanding about the conflict in n and the people involved. We ask
that you would bless us with humility as we continue to seek ways to pray for
situations such as this, which seem so bleak and desperate. Bless us also with
compassion, Lord, and above all the hope that comes from your presence even
in the darkest of times. For if we pray in faith and hope then we know that
through you, all things are possible.
Loving Jesus, we offer you our hearts in hope and praise. Amen.
Lord, there is certainly enough in our fallen world to worry about.
But you have commanded me to stop. Oh dear!
I don't know how. Lord, help me.
See me here, worrying my life away. How can this be your will?
Forgive me for not trusting you with my legitimate cares.
My spirit will start to listen to your helping words of peace.
Bless me here, Lord; bless menow.
Thank you, Amen.
Establish the work of my hands by helping me to be productive, patient, focused, and insightful. Keep me from distractions and from technology hindering my work instead of helping it. May your Spirit lead me in my work and help me to be joyful, creative, and worshipfulconstantly reminding me of your love and that you're the reason I have breath in my lungs. Teach me to align my work, family, church life, and rest in a way that would maximize your glory and allow me to bear the most fruit for your kingdom.
And as I work, fix my eyes on Jesus and his finished work on the cross that gave me treasure I could not earn, rest that I could not otherwise experience, and a living hope that will fuel me to work for the glory of God. Amen.
Lord, give me the grace for today.
Before me, the day looms with great possibilities and even greater
challenges.
I put it all in your hands.
Order my day and order my life.
Help me to embrace every challenge,
to be open to all you have to give and to see all as opportunity.
One moment at a time. One person at a time. One gift at a time.
Help me to breathe in your Spirit and to exhale
any fear that may cause me to question and to worry.
The world causes stress. You offer peace.
I choose you!
Please guide our path through life and make our
enemies be at peace with us. Let your peace reign in our family,
at our place of work, businesses and everything we lay our hands on.
Let your angels of peace go ahead of us when we go out
and stay by our side when we return. In Jesus' name, Amen.
