Prayer For Parent

Our Father, Who art in heaven, bless my father and mother, my guardians,
and those who are in authority over me,
for their love and tender care for me,
and the benefits I receive at their hands.

Help me, I pray Thee,
to be respectful and obedient to them in all matters according to Thy will;

and give me Thy grace to perform all my duties carefully and faithfully,
to avoid undesirable company and influence, and resist all temptation that may come my way;
that I may live a sober, righteous and godly life, ever praising Thee and glorifying Thy Holy Name.

Amen.

God, You are the ultimate parent, whose perfect love shows us how to love our own children, so teach them how to love like You do, how to parent like You do. Give them Your heart, Your help, Your strength. Give them grace and sanity to make it through another day.

Thank you for the privilege and joy of being parents and for being our perfect Father.

In Christ's name we pray,

Amen.

O God, I thank you for my dearest parents who have loved me and cared for me. Be with them and surround them with your presence. Open their hearts to trust your constant care. Help me to show how much I appreciate them. Forgive me for the times I've made them sad. Bless them with good health and happiness. I place them in your hands. Watch over them with tender love. Keep them close to one another in this life and in the next. Amen.

Help us, O Lord, be compassionate, kind, and patient throughout our days. If one of us has a complaint against another, help us to forgive each other; as You have forgiven us. Let the peace of Christ rule in our hearts. Above all, help us to remember to put on love which binds everything together in perfect harmony.

We thank You, Lord for the many blessings and mercies You continually bestow on us. In everything we do, in word or deed, may we always do so in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through His Holy Spirit. Amen.

O Lord, Heavenly Father, You have blessed us with the gift of family and have entrusted us with their spiritual upbringing. You commanded that we should teach our children about You in our lives: when we sit in our house, when we walk by the way, when we lie down and when we rise. Guide us O Lord every moment of the day as we work toward this awesome task.

Let the words of Christ dwell in us, so that we may teach and guide our family, through our words and deeds, to the saving knowledge of Your everlasting kingdom. Amen

Thank You, Father, that they were chosen by You to be our parents and that You used them to bring me into a loving trust of Jesus, my Saviour. Protect them and keep them from all harm and danger, and grant them the health and strength as they get a little older.

Thank You, Father, for the joy of family life and the love and grace that I have received through being part my this family. Thank You that we are all one in Christ, and part of the heavenly kingdom throughout all eternity.

Give my parents the joy of drawing ever closer to You with each advancing year and Father, may I honour them in all things unto their lives end. I pray in Jesus' name,

Amen.

Lord, I bring my parents to You. Life seems to have passed them by and they need to know Jesus as their Saviour. Lord, I know that You died for them as well and forgave every sin they have committed, for You are a gracious and loving God. I too want to forgive them for all that they did to me. I forgive both my parents, and thank You that in Your grace, You are taking me through a process of healing all the hurt and pain that I had to go through.

Bless them both, dear Lord Jesus, and I pray that both of them will come to know You as their Saviour. In Jesus' name I pray,

Amen.

Dear Lord Jesus, thank You for my parents. I love my them both and I am glad that they are my mommy and daddy and I am glad that I am their child too. Thank You that they take care of me, and please bless them every day.

Sometimes my parents have to discipline me when I do wrong things. I am sorry that I keep doing wrong things, I know that they are called my sins, but I am so glad that I know You Lord Jesus, and that You died for me on the cross to pay the price for all my sins and thank You that You rose again so that we could go to be with You in heaven.

Thank You, that You have given me my mommy and daddy to look after me and when I grow up I want to be like them and tell my children about You Lord Jesus. Please bless my mommy and daddy every day.

Amen.
